CBProductions
Depends really if you want something just quick and simple to edit movies and stuff their is ulead movie maker and a few others similarly priced on a link from their site. Adobe is often too complicated and I noticed that for some people it actually made their editing worse because there were too many choices. Keep it simple but yeah download.com is host to all the trials you will need. Hope this helps

GTF
If you just want to put the clips together Movie Maker is good enough, but if you want more specialist stuff get Adobe Premiere.

Nick Garland
I am pretty sure that hardly anyone on here will use Premiere and all its features, however its just a nice layout compared to Movie Maker.Same with photoshop, I hardly know anything but I prefer it to paint or Fireworks. that NBR dude
Just want to point out - Be very very careful about the programs you download... I never used to think anything of it, but I've had a written warning about it, so I dont even download music illegally anymore. They can trace you, and theres nothing to say they wont. Nothing at all wrong with that. Simple to use, could do with a few more efftects, but it's not that bad.
RobinJI
I use Movie maker. Nothing at all wrong with that. Simple to use, could do with a few more effects, but it's not that bad.Yeah, its a perfectly fine programme, I get along with it fine, only thing really is that on my old computer and a load of my mates if get about 5 mins into editing and freezes up and crashes, making it pretty unusable. Haven't really used it enough on this computer to see if it suffers from the same bug.

Watch your backToo true. You can get utterly f**ked for it.I use Sony Vegas Six which I reckon is highly underrated and can do pretty much the same as Premier.Couldn't tell you where to get it from or how much, mine was a borrowed one off a mate.Rich
