  1. Thanks guy, I still haven't decided whether to pull the trigger but you've given me some food for thought
  2. 27.5, it's a year old and 2200 new. Is it not worth more than 800?
  3. 1250 but I think I can get it for a bit less.
  4. I'm looking at buying my first mountain bike and found this for a pretty decent price. It's supposedly 2016 and barely ridden. The only warning sign is he doesn't have the receipt but it seems legit. What should I look out for when buying a used Enduro and can anyone confirm it's 2016? Whanks, Will
  5. Are they custom decals? Mine are all white but I like the black outline.
  6. I guess I never see them ran on both ends of a street bike which puts me off. And some decent modulation would be nice.
  7. Thanks, I think I'll go with Magura. Shimano seem like a good budget option but i just had a look around online and leaking at the calliper after a few months of not being used is a very common problem which they need to sort out before I'm going to buy any more of their brakes.
  8. Hi guys, I'm just going to give this a bump instead of starting a similar thread. Twice now I've been travelling for 6 months after using my Zees a handful of times and come back to find them leaking from just sitting there so I've gone off shimano. What other brakes are the go to in trials now? I'm not spending MT7 money but are the MT5 + 6 worth getting?
  9. Hi mate, I'm looking to get back into the sport and live in banbury. Pop me a message when you're next riding!
  10. Thanks, I'll get it sent back. I just wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar because it's happemed on both brakes with very light usage.
  11. Twice now i've not ridden for a few months and come back to find my brake pads have a small amount of oil on. I've sanded them down and rebedded them in and everything is great for a few weeks until they start gradually losing power. This is happening to my front and rear brake. Has anyone had a similar problem?
  12. Really enjoyed that. Even though the banger move was the same as his last video i'm still shocked at how cool it was.
  13. To get a decent set of wheels and discs you'd be looking at more than £200. Would you consider grinding the rear wheel?
  14. Don't pay £650 for a 2013 element. Now that a new generation of inspired frames are out the 2013 element has been rebranded as the 2014 flow and it's £800 new. For £650 you should be able to get a fourplay with a spec more like the team. Keep an eye on the for sale section on here.
  15. You can get an adapter for a Magura. I've never used one but from what i've heard a good vee brake is better than a maggie on an adapter. The element is a good bike, let me know how you get on with commuting on a 22:16 gear ratio .
  16. You don't really want to be commuting on a trials bike. If you're set on it then something old school or an inspired hex / fourplay with gears would be the way to go. Pick yourself up a cheap second hand road bike for commuting, i just got one for £70 and it does the job. If you did that it would massively widen your choice of trials bike as everything is single speed now and a lot of bikes have horizontal drop outs so no mech hanger. I came from a dirt jump / street background too and I think a 24" streety bike will fit you well. Look at the for sale section on here. An onza zoot is a good budget bike. If you've got a bit more to spend then fourplays come up quite regularly.
  17. That was so slick. I've just watched it 4 times and i still feel like hitting play again. Leo's my favourite French rider by far.
  18. I guess it's a pretty common for newcomers to ask what street trials bike should i get? How much do i need to spend? Is an Inspired worth the extra over a Zoot? ect ect. I've just gone from a 2011 Fourplay to a Zoot due to moving to Canada for a year and i thought i would post a review. The second hand Fourplay with some new shimano Zees on icetech rotors cost me 4 times the amount of the second hand Zoot so there's a pretty big difference there. In terms of performance i'll state the obvious and say the Fourplay is better, however not by that much. For street moves the Fourplay is a little better at everything. It spins better, bunnyhops better and feels generally stiffer and more sturdy. It's slightly easier to get the front up into a manual on the Fourplay but once the front's up manuals are about the same on both bikes. Moving to a Zoot hasn't impacted my riding massively though. In terms of more trialsy moves i've found the Zoot isn't any worse, with the exception of to front moves, where it's slightly worse. This could be due to the slacker head angle or simply because of the thinner tire and worse brake. Once i settle in to it a bit more i may even prefer it on the rear wheel due to the +15mm more bb rise. It's pointless doing a Zee vs zoot V brake comparison but with a bit of fiddling around and a very light grind i've got the brakes good enough to not slip out. My riding is pretty much up to where it was on the Fourplay after 2 long rides on the zoot. I've been bashing it pretty hard so there's a chance i'll update this in a month and say "just buy a Fourplay my bloody Zoot just snapped", but at the moment my verdict is unless money isn't an object a Zoot will do just fine.
  19. Nice! I'll have a read through them. I went through a bunch of MBUKs recently and found articles about Edd Tongue testing the first production 24" and some articles about comps with Ali C and Akrigg ranking in the top 3. Some real nostalgia there.
  20. I feel like the setup didn't give the riders the option of producing the slick flowy street trials that we all love. A very streety skate park with some stacks of pallets mixed in would have been a better location in my opinion. However working with what was there the riders produced some pretty amazing stuff.
  21. That's awesome, i couldn't care less about the hop. I'm in danger of steering this thread off topic but where can i see the new fourplay?
  22. You've already got a thread on this topic. Yes it's a good bike although for the same price second hand you could get something a few years old with a similar spec to the fourplay team in decent condition. I'd recommend doing that and then you wouldn't lose much if you wanted to sell it.
  23. I haven't got any concrete plans but probably Calgary. I thought about bringing it on the plane but i'll be living in hotels/ hostels at first and travelling around so it won't really be viable.
