I dont know where to put this or if im allowed to put this here but a while ago someone said something about adobe premier now coming with a plugin to remove camera shake from video ....

Now I got hold of said tool and it turns out you need a new 64 bit processor to use it (and the new premier)

so i thought it would be nice if you could do it on an older pc ....

turns out there is an easy peasy extra for virtualdub ....

here is the webpage for deshaker...

and here is the link to a short clip that i used it on .. I used pretty much the standard settings - as it takes hardly any processing time - and the results are pretty good - it looks a little strange but hey ... i need to work out which setting work best for the type of clips i take ....

videos - before and after

EDIT : I forgot to say that the sound is out of sync on the second one (due to using previous frames to get rid of borders ..)as i couldnt be arsed to correct it - its pretty easy though ... just put delay audio by 1200 ms in virtualdub before you do save as AVI
