  1. @Joe's pictures.... I thought I'd like one in black and green - but I much prefer the white and gold
  2. Was he mentally ill, atall? Or just incredibly abstract? The sort of person I admire, whichever way.
  3. DANNY! Can we please have a reputation system? I've found a few posts that really deserve winning something recentley - and this tops the lot!
  4. Or try being a pioneeer for a bit, and go for white and gold
  5. Nothing. Either it's not arrived, and he already knew that's a risk you run - buying on the internet - or, it has arrived, and he's trying to con you. You do nothing. It's his problem. You've sent it - can you not get a picture of the reciept? Or is that why it's a bad thing that you only sent it first class?
  6. I had only three things I wanted to say - and you beat me to all of them... fanny.
  7. Nah - Boats is like that. First thing in his mind is to get a video of the damage for youtube... There's his shindig on there somewhere
  8. But you only have to look to find the others, as you're not used to using them.

    Brake Levers

That's what I'm talking about - your brake wont work NEARLY so well in the rain - and if you want to ride through the winter, you'd better be bothered about it. Why wait for a new rim, to grind? If your current one's f**ked - than all the better, incase you cack up on the grind.
  10. Piss off man... Wait 'till you've done it - then tell me it's stupid.

    Brake Levers

You can't. Not in the wet. ...Well - maybe you could - but it'd take a one in a million setup.
  12. Do they stretch that much, then? I didn't think it'd be enough to matter, for that. I'd forgotten about the dropouts with the bolts in... Might have to consider it. Will this be the first 24" with horizontal dropouts? Haha
  13. I had them on a mod, and I'd rather not go back there, if I can avoid it - and seeing as these frames are custom built... I figure why the hell not?
  14. I'm thinking of getting a marinobike frame made, and thought that it'd be nice not to have to run a tentioner. I've seen a few people without tentioners, on stocks, so I was just wondering if anyone knew how long the chainstays on whatever frame it is are, and what gear ratio they were running. Ideally, I'd like to run 22:18, but 18:15 would be Ok too. If I'm wrong, and no-one's got that - could one of the mechanics/engineers on here have a crack at figuring it out? I'd do it myself - but I don't really know how :$ Cheers

    Brake Levers

Quoted for truth. Also - if you can't decide where you like it (hahaha) - bear in mind you can rotate the lever 'round the bar, aswell. Having it in a different position with the same ammount of pull, can completely change the feel of it.
  16. We did give sound advice... Hitting it really hard is just the easiest way to dislodge the split ring. If you get that off a different way - there's no need to hit it. EDIT: Damn it Muel.
  17. ...If anyone's wondering... I think it's the other way 'round, to be fair - but what do I know... It's not like it happened to me or anything, is it
  18. I notice you were careful not to say "coke" haha Yeah - bloodsugar... I'd forgotten about that. Any sugar helps - but glucose is the best. (Lucozade) Less breaking down for the body to do, and so can get the glucose to the bloodstream faster.
  19. I'm no grinding expert (run smooth rear, and a disk) - but did you grind it the right way? In theory, is shouldn't make TOO much difference - but it might be enough... Like... On the driveside of the rim, you'd want to be going anti-clockwise... with the grinder angled in the direction you're travelling. Make sense?
  20. I was the same, man - but it's true... It's the only way. If you don't want to grind, go have a look in the Pad Review topic, and find some you think'll be suitable for a smooth rim. I ran Heatsink Snowies for a while, on a smooth front - they were pretty good
