Evans sell one, can't remember what its called but its crap. I have used the Parktool one but I'm afraid it is also shite. They are both around 50 quid as well. To be honest as matey says, a frame with screwdriver is as good as it gets and its free!

really want to see some better pics (without the seat!) Looks pretty cool but the top tube is so steep. I can't get in touch with Iolo guy, my phone won't dial his number but why did yours take 6 weeks, does he do it part time or just a waiting list? How much was it if you don't mind me asking

I love the enthusiasm man! I got your number of one of your other posts so I'll text if I can make it. There are so many people in London you'd think it would be a regular thing, still.... keep trying mate!

OK Dude, but make sure you dont get a 661, they look like giant mushrooms and make you sweat buckets. The truth is its a nightmare finding a helmet that you feel alright in so I should have been more diplomatic. And everyone hates smacking their brains out on the curb even more than wearing a florescent yellow cheese grater!!!
-
What is immature about thinking a certain helmet looks totally pap. I recommended others, whats your problem?

That is a disgusting piece of crap and should be melted down to make fake dog poo. If you want a pisspot buy a scab or a protec.
-
Looks cool with black seat but I have to disagree with you on those pedals. I really wanted some because they are pretty but even with the long pins they're just too slippy. And they feel pretty heavy. Still, its pretty

love the rear rim... what is it?? same sorta colour as mavic grey if im not mistaken... Yeah, its really similar colour, its an Atomlab GI from Tarty. A bit heavy, especially with that tyre but its cool. I can't find any decent tyres, what are you going to run on your new bike? I'm not a big fan of the tiogas

Hello mate, just so you know you're not alone, here is one I bought the other day and gave a bit of a pimping: http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r14/vexdroly/Ashton2.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r14/vexdroly/Ashton3.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r14/vexdroly/Ashton1.jpg The forks look good btw. Still if you had described it before I saw it I'd have said it was never going to work!

Hello mate, Me and a couple of people might be riding the usual spots sunday afternoon if you're about...
-
I live near crystal Palace and there's some good spots there but if you're near canary wharf then you're laughing, its awesome. Both banks of the river too, message me if you are riding that way soon, I haven't been over there for a while, well up for it
-
yup, thats what I'm talking about. Just to clarify though, I don't mean go and ride your local skatepark either!
-
maybe its just me.. ill post a topic later and see if it is just me.. No, its not just you. Despite what I said I have an Adamant frame which is totally wrong for the type of riding I was talking about but its so pretty! It makes even manualing really hard. I really should track down a Leeson The Akrigg vid is awesome especially the sidehop up the steps. Even though he takes influences from all different types of riding, he's not a cheap imitation of any, he's super bad.

I gave up riding bmx due to injury and started trials around 4 months ago and there are loads of aspects of it that I love. I find the speed at which you can progress is really satisfying, it always feels like the next step is acheivable with a little bit more push and I really enjoy it phisically. I have read a lot of people on this site asking things like "why isn't trials as big as .." and also people slating different types of riding as not being trials. Natural is different because that requires flow but I find the majority of street riding totally repetitive and unengaging and I think its limiting the sport. I have seen shots in videos of people with tape measures out and I think that totally sucks. I want to be out riding and when I clear/climb something I want my mates to say "yes mate, that was wicked, or come on, you can do better" Not, "ohh hang on lets get the tape measure out, whoa you're 3mm higher than before" Riding street should be about using your skills and imagination to link up obstacles and maintain flow not side hop up a wall, hop off and go look for one an inch higher. Obviously this is just my opinion and it might not seem important. There is nothing wrong with natural or comp riding (as long as you don't wear skin suits!) but lots of people ride street now and it could be massive but I think these problems are holding the sport back. What do you reckon?

A good way too realise why this is such a bad idea would be to try any move on your bike and then imagine not being able to do it any more. I'd bet you couldn't even bunnyhop up a curb cause you'd have to keep peddalling the whole way through. My hub once broke on my bmx and stuck like a fixed. It was quite funny airing cause you had to keep pedalling in the air and this resulted in a 90% floor eating ratio. If you want to ride fixed get a track bike (they're actually quite a laugh although you'll crap yourself when you first pick up a bit of speed)

Hi, normal grips are too thin for me so I tried the Shadow conspiracy finger banger in large and they are amazing. I never get sweaty/slippy and my fingers don't seem to ache as much after a long ride... They are a bmx grip so you might not like the way they look but they are very good

The main problem with having two bikes is that its not three bikes. I wish I could have one bike again. Don't do it, stick with one or you'll forever be miserable and wind up stuck in a house full of bikes thinking "damn I need a folding bike next, and then one of those electric bikes and a unicycle and ahhhhhh"
-
yeah, I'm trying to learn this at the minute too. The only usefull advice I can give you is try on a higher ledge. I don't know why but I was having way more luck trying on things that are out of my reach?

Leave nitromoss alone, you don't need it and it can mess you up, if you have to use it wear gloves and goggles, its grim stuff. Heat the sticker gently with a hair dryer for like 20 seconds and then lift the edge. It should peel real easy but if it starts to stick or tear just heat it up again. I hope this works, it has always been very successful for me....

that is a devastating hair cut

I totally understand the problem of not having anywhere to ride but surely the point of trials is to find and then master a massive range of obstacles. If there was a "trials park" like a skate park you would soon have ridden all the lines and then be bored. In a skate park on a bmx you can ride the same line learning new tricks but even if you ride "street" trials its still more about the obstacles than the tricks?

Hi, some people seem to use chainstay protectors on their down tube but I have seen pictures of what looks like a length of foam cable tied to the tube. This looks like it would do a bit more to stop dinks instead of just scratches. What do you use and does it work?

I Have Invented The Best Brake Lever In The World !

I really recommend riding without gloves for a couple of days. I spent years trying to find gloves that I liked for different types of riding but was never happy. When you start to ride without gloves it hurts and when you sweat you might let go of the bars but it soon gets better and I'll never go back. Also its free which is great. -
Yeah, thats the whole reason I got a trials bike. You can ride anything. So many trials skills just require patience and practise that like he says even a curb is fun. Just trackstand in your bedroom!
