so one of the koxx bloxx work in the rain on smooth rims then??? if so which one??? thanks
-
hello i would reccommend the white industries freewheel because it has 72 engagements which rival the chris king hubs, they are really reliable and do last a long time. they are not too expense and they sound quiet nice mate! http://82.110.105.16/tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=77 if you were to wait a while till the try-all one comes out then i would say that they will be a better buy! because they have 108 engagements, they are a bit cheaper and the name 'try-all' should mean they are the best quality!! http://82.110.105.16/tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=2035

i've heard that the try-all tyres are extremely grippy but wear down fast?? is that true??
-
no problem dude! lots of people can get really arsy about things like that. when (if) you do get those tyres put a review on here for us please..i have wondered what those tyres are like on a 26' cheers
-
vizbikes should sell them. mate try and put all of the tyre topics in the 1st tyre topic you made, it stops there being loads of pointless topics.

hello, i would just buy some new onza chain tugs mate, they are only £8 they should be strong enough to last a fair while. www.tartybikes.co.uk sell them dude.
-
i'd personally say that zoo pads are ace on smooth rims. even though there are only a few shops which now sell them, apparently the echo red/pink pads are the same compound just a bit harder which will have a slower wear rate. i would definately say that these pads are amazing on smooth rims, they hold very well, massive bite, sound nice and will last a long time. they are also really good to have on the front smooth rim aswell. my mate has the plazmatic CRM'S which worked really well on his smooth rims, they had a tremendous hold and an ace bite. he said they are the best pads he has ever had! i have also had the tensile bubble gum pads they are very good on my smooth rims, they had a good bite and a very load squeak! they didnt work very well when you had taken the tyre of to fix a puncture, they have a very good wear rate.mine had hardly worn down after about 4 months of hard riding. i wouldn't use them again but they are good. they are not good on the front they move around in the clamp after a few front wheel tricks. you can buy these from www.tartybikes.co.uk hope i helped.

get the onza ronnie, i have one it is extremely strong! fairly lite. i have put mine throgh loads of huge drops massive gaps and plenty of 'rimmings' it is really easy to set your brakes up because of the bigger sidewalls! they are quite strong but the sidewalls can dent (only a tiny bit after a huge rimming.) they are cheaper than most rims, a good width and can come non drilled or drilled- i have the non drilled one. i'd say it is stronger than the try-all rim and the echo 06/07 one too! a good buy if you ask me!!
-
hahaha nice, no that is from the bandage i have wrapped around my foot! cant wait till it heals.

here are a few pics of my broken toe, the nail looks minging---its loads of blood underneath the nail lol this is a photo after about 2 weeks and 3 days of breaking it, it was way more bruised etc.

what are the benifits of being sponsored?? if you do get sponsored do you have to go to comps etc?? cheers

i'd reccommend getting the 'onza t-mag spec 1' its an ace bike, strong it looks quite nice, it's about $933 so if you was to buy from tartybikes you would have some money to have her posted to your country. i've had a few goes on my mates and it feels really nice! it is a very good bike for a biginner and once you have got a lot better it is still a great bike to use!! this is well worth getting if you want to ride a mod! if you want to ride a stock then i'd reccommend buying the; 'onza t-rex spec1' the frame on this bike is very strong looks nice especially with the cool flame design thing. it is a longish frame but it is still very nice to ride. good luck in finding the right bike mate, hope you find a decent shop in america that sells trials bikes!

hello, i was wondering where these pads can be bought from, how much they are, what they hold/bite/grip like and if you have them what do you think about them?? thanks a lot people!
-
adamant A1- very nice on the back wheel, easy to gap on because of its high bb rise. this frame is very similar to my frame geometry and i love my frame it is absolutely ace to ride, the a1 is going to be light, strong and looks lush. if you do get this frame make sure you don't do the same mistake as me and run it with a low stem. i had an onza one and after a while of riding my neck really hurt-this was annoying. so i'd recommend getting the echo or try all stem (130mmx15degrees) it all depends on the sort of frame geometry you are most comfortable with, its up to you to decide which frame you get.

if you ain't sure how to then here is a little method to do so; Truing wheels is fairly easy if you understand a few basic concepts. Steps: 1. Understand that you true a wheel by tightening and loosening spokes. You can true a wheel both laterally and radially. 2. Assemble the proper tools. You will need a truing stand, a spoke wrench, and some light oil. 3. Remove the tire to true the wheel laterally. 4. Set your wheel in the truing stand. 5. Set the truing stand with the arms close to the rim. Dial them in so that the side of the rim scrapes in places. 6. Place one drop of light oil where each spoke threads into the nipple, and another drop where each nipple sits against the rim. 7. Relieve stress on the spokes by squeezing sets of parallel spokes with your hands. Go through the whole wheel before you begin truing. 8. True the wheel laterally by tightening the two spokes that pull the rim in the opposite direction from where it scrapes, and loosening the one spoke between those two spokes. 9. Tighten a spoke by turning the spoke wrench counter-clockwise. Loosen a spoke by turning it clockwise. 10. Turn the spokes a quarter turn at a time. 11. Set the truing stand so that the arms are underneath the rim and scrape the top of the rim in various places. To true the wheel laterally, tighten four or six spokes along the area where the rim scrapes. When you true a wheel laterally, always work in pairs of spokes - one spoke from each side of the hub. hope this helps mate.
