Did anyone else go to the show in London at Excel last weekend?

Thanks for the advice guys, sorry to sound like a numpty but I'm new at this - how come i'm seeing so many drilled rims? Does this not make them weak or is the extra weight loss worth the risk? Do many of you run with drilled rims or is that just for show and not for serious?

Not sure now...I think it was the glasses, ginger hair and strange taste in jumpers.

Magura hydraulic brakes, they do different levels of brake but generally you are gonna struggle to find something to grab your rim tighter than these babies for the money.

23 !! My dad rides XC and has recently started getting on my BMX and using a trails machine, he's gone nuts and he's 40 !!!!!!

Looking for a bit of advice on rims - trashed 2 rear and want to try and make the next one last a bit longer. I know some of it is my riding but whats the opinion on good rims? Also, what size (width) are you guys running on the front?

OK - so whats the opinion at the moment? Polished frame which looks cool and doesn't chip but everyone does their frames in polished so your in the lookeelikee club OR Painted frame which could chip but stands out?

The MAD bikes look totally different to the ones Saracen used to produce so I asked Giles at the show what the score was. The MAD team split from Saracen when Saracen ceased to trade at the beginning of this year. Saracen were the MAD team sponsers but Giles now has a new sponser, a company called 2x2 who also produce the Phase bikes. the MAD team and 2x2 have come up with the bikes and Giles said it is the first time they have had a big say so on how the bikes are specced and geometry and things. If the guys who ride them are having a big say in thier design now it must be a good thing and I thought they looked pretty well at the show.

Looks pretty cool, really shiny gloss white looks good but I have seen a load of light blue/baby blue type bikes lately (mainly top end D/H bikes) but the colour looks wicked.

You might be lucky depending on the carrier they are using at the moment, nearly all the carriers charge extra (lots extra) for sat delivery and it isnt included in the next working day bit. If it was small and they royal mailed it you might be good to go!!

I guess thats why eveyone is confused, looks pink to me on that photo!!

Looks like there is some difference in opinion on the colour of the MAD team bike, I saw the bikes at the LAUNCH show on Wednesday and the one in the picture is definately bright red and not pink. The other two were gloss white and bright blue, i am guessing this is because the MAD logo is red, white and blue? Or they are just very patriotic.

It looks great, how much did you guys pay for this frame?
