I didnt think it was possible to get whiplash when reversing?

Beer, to lessen the effect of flipp's advice.

That is so clever, each pawl has 3 EPs...
Imagine a Try-All with that rachet and 9 of those pawls. I can't even begin to fathom how many engagement points it would have.
Rather academic cos it'd still blow up

I usually use riding as a way to be away from the missus for a few days. I'd consider being with a girl who also rode, a living nightmare.
She'd get one though
Ever considered why I don't ride anymore and usually can't be found at home?

If there's any bolt sticking out the frame, the first recourse should be a good set of mole grips. Only when they fail do you start using heat or drills

Best night ever. It was right, with someone i really loved, and it was well worth waiting for
If it ain't happened yet, don't think it has to happen before you get to x age. For me, i'm glad i waited until it was with someone special.
On the flip side of that, I'm glad it was someone who knew exactly what she was doing but didnt like me much. Nothing to get tied up in, just a simple shagging lesson

Getting the BB out involves circlip pliers, some heat to cook the loctite and loosen it, then some icky thump with a fair sized hammer. Unless it's absolutely knackered leave it in.

Perfectly reasonable connection I would say.

Air (moon safari) and the Sneaker pimps (becoming x) are the "chillest" albums I've found. The Verve - Urban Hymns is also very good when you just need to fall into bed and not think too hard.

Game of golf chap?

Band - Babyshambles. Why not sing in a voice that is easy to understand insted of just moaning and making every word inaudible. Really pisses me off.
Song - Stairway to Heaven. Overplayed and not that great of a song, Zep have loads better. Famous solo that is not really that great.
Too right, most of led zep III is better by miles.
I've decided I dont like Biffy Clyro purely because that caledonian cow on radio one in the afternoon rants about them all the bleeding while. Stupid tart.
Worst song is kanye west's latest lack of effort. How the f**k anyone in this country can match their reality to his music is beyond me.

Something's happened, you wont tell us, but its definately worth knowing. This is almost as rivetting as the saga of your honda's bonnet....

The guide also says that you will be picked up within the time it takes to die, but at an almost infinite probability of you dying anyway. So you're toast really
-
I may be wrong, but the market for a carbon booster is small anyway due to its cost, where almost all vee users are tarts who will willingly spend money on boosters like it's going out of fashion

The alloy sleeve that you put on the axle before the freehub body, just make a bronze one of them that's large enough diameter to be a nice running fit on the inside of the freehub body, it's directly underneath the pawls so supports it well.
-
Anything upto 20mm taken off the freehub body is fine, beyond that you will find there isnt enough space inside the freehub body to thread properly. The freehub will require extra support if you want the bearing to last, I made a bronze bush to take the place of the alloy spacer, a nice running fit on the bore in the freehub, keeps everything in line. Not a lot else to it really, those generation Hope hubs are agriculturally robust and will stand a lot of abuse.

If the pedal is really stuck, all putting the lockring on will do is strip its threads. Your best bet is to pull the pedal apart, grip the axle in a vice and grip the largest diameter section of the insert with some stillsons. It is very likely to do damage though if it's seriously tight.
-
If it defies all movement, I can drill it out for less than a new insert.

If you like your twins and if you ever get this far north, get into Nottingham Industrial museum. Five Brough Superiors. I dont think I need to elaborate

Or look at Warco:-

This is the Mini Lathe. They do bigger stuff too. I've had no problems with my Warco lathe and it turns really well (compared to the pre-WW2 lathe I had before anyway).
Good lathes coming out of china now, they do benefit from careful assembly and a bit of fitting.
Also, is that machine in your avatar a BSA twin?

4.5 Nm is recommended for the top screws in a evo mount, as all four bolts in a trials set-up do the same job I would follow that.
I would disagree with your reasoning though, any numpty can (and at my last place, did) follow a torque setting and f**k things up. "Just do it till it feels right" is a better way all round. It's not as though you're sending the bolts seriously towards their elastic limit and are worried about stretching.
-
Try-all. If lots and lots of bearings come pouring out of an eno, it's definately toast.
-
With two provisos, yeah it's useful.
1. when you take the lockring off, lots and lots of very small bearings will come out so do it over a margerine tub or something like that to catch them.
2. the springs are made of rubbish steel and will bend if you arent careful. It's important that the circular bit at the end remains circular, I had to re-shape a few round a small drill bit because they'd been deformed when stripping it.
To be perfectly honest, unless you suspect something has broken inside it, give it a good wash out in paraffin then drench it in light oil, saves a lot of messing about.

It is roughly as useful and attainable as the creme egg car though
There's an ancient van in the Bass museum in Burton shaped like a beer bottle, proper good
