  1. What freewheel is it?
  2. Well as a little update - I'm back from the Cayman Islands. We managed to do a bit of riding in between having the most fun i've ever had and both my brake and mateys brake were completely fine. Thats in about 30 degree heat and 90+ humidity. So who knows...
  3. Was the bb hard to screw in?
  4. There was a pro2T rear hub in the Canary Wharf Evans about 3 years ago that someone wrongly ordered in - I'd suggest it was still there.
  5. Um, can't say I'd be interested in buying or wearing one, but I'd imagine there are a few guys who would love to wear such a thing. I wonder if the youngsters (12 - 15 year olds) would like the concept, they seem to be a good market for this sort of thing. However, if you are gonna aim it at them, then I'd suggest the names are changed to be a bit more relevent to the times. Or you could go for the ageing trialsrider market, for which the names are all good. For both though, I;d suggest a reworking of the type faces. I notice the trials bit is in the old font used by BTM. Keep it all that font maybe?
  6. I wouldn't bother, get into moto x or BMX or something that will get you women.
  7. That's cool, I used to ride an Azonic DS1 way back and one of the first times I saw some decent riders was in worthing with Lee McCaw and Barry Huskinson and a few other I forget now, but yeah this was probably 2003 maybe? There's a bit around the widewater lagoon from what I remember, a few rocks and stuff... Havn't ridden around there for years!
  8. Where do you ride in Shoreham? My grandparents live there, not ridden my bike there for yeeears though. I used to ride the old fort and harbour wall bit. Is there anything else? I remember when MBUK did an article on the fort with the Worthing riders on it haha.
  9. Mine have always been great, I've had about 6 pairs of refills over the years now. I guess they may not work if you don't set up your brake well, don't put on a decent grind or have contaminants somewhere in the set up. Mine seem to have more hold once the grind wears in a bit. Yeah try a light, sharp grind and see how you go. Get a new grinding disk.
  10. Are they Magura Black pads? A new set of decent pads would help with set up and make your brake work better, all for about £20. Wind the TPA out, give it a bleed, set up with new pads and you'll be golden.
  11. I ran one for about 2 months on my Yaabaa, had its good points and bad points but I changed back to Magura and I much prefer it. Bad points: - Lacks hold on square edges / where load is applied very quickly - Noticeable weight over rear axle - Spoke flex Good points: - Good hold on rounded edges / where load is applied slowly - No need to regrind after you get a puncture / change tyre - Good in the wet / mud - Silent (good or bad i guess) I never had it slip out on me or anything. The main problem I had was lack of hold on square edges and the weight. Was very good for rounded rocks eg Dartmoor though.
  12. Quite a few I would imagine - Like I said, I know nothing about computers but was simply throwing an idea in the pot.

    Students

I bought 1 book new (in 2nd year, Foundations of engineering geology) and 4 second hand at the end of 1st year. Spent probably £60 in total. I wouldn't bother going nuts with the books, the library has pretty much everything you need as long as you get in early after the lecturer has mentioned the book. I only bought the engineering book because it was cheap, concise and relevant. Look on the notice boards for 3rd years selling their books.
  14. Did it go through the X Ray machine at the airport? I know nothing about computers but may have affected something?
  15. ...And not a single rock in sight.
  16. Ordered a Toshiba from eBuyer, thanks.
  17. Yo, I need a new laptop. Around £350, for internet and general tasks, no gaming or photoshop etc. Will only be moved around my house, so no need for it to be tiny. The bigger the better really. No desktops. Where is best to buy from? Any good deals on at the moment? Cheers.
  18. Thank f**k I moved from near shithole Croydon to Devon.
  19. Just practise reading? Knowing the subject will help alot as you'll recognise the words. Especially important in scientific papers where alot of it is technical jargon.
  20. The new The Wanted song. I think its the squeezebox.
  21. The least gay looking set of five tens you can get.
