  5. i did once have hayes mx2 cable brakes and used 160mm front and back never slippeed and i never felt i was losing power
  6. hs 11 is the cheep crap option the hs 33 has vertical pistons , and this is a more powerful way of moving the oil to give greater power, the old horizontal mounted pistons were very good but didnt give the max power that was available and as people have said they are niceer to use than the hs 11

  11. after another broken saracen i need a new frame i ride a 26inch but what should i be buying i have a habit of breaking frames so its got to be strong and saracens are really not up to it would prefer a seatless frame, where should i look and it must be cheep, not more than 200 quid not wanting a 2nd hand so dont offer
  12. first make sure your back brake is working well(most important) then get the motion right on the flat first, pedel brake and so on next find a nice SOFT patch of grass and practice by going front wheel to back by locking your front brake on then moving your weight back to the back wheel and get the motion, hold on your back wheel for a few seconds then let it drop. only them can you start throwing in a quick kick down on your pedals to hop you forwards dont think you will get i straight away, it took me months to even get up a kerb. but keep practicing ( this is where soft grass helps ) and expect to fall but keep at it and you will soon get it good luck dont forget the helmet!!!
  13. thanks all guess its a hope hub either a mono,xc or a pro 2 cheers
  14. ive broke another cheep hub and am getting board of it. im not made out of money nor do i have a money tree and ive got two kids dont say chris king, theres no way i can afford one, but what cheeper alternatives are there for the trials rider who cant get a chris king thanks in advance
  15. dont bother id got to barnstaple, bidifords got a skatepark but its always got tones of people in there and the cops will get you if you ride on the pavement best to go on sunday. barnstaple is better tones of street riding spots and hardly any chavs to bother you and if your good and dont smash anything up the cops are cool and let you ride
  16. rubbish its all on a hill theres a industrial area before you go into the town its worth riding there and there cool as long as you dont break anything
  17. water is the better option, all my mates have goodridge hoses and they say use water. they wont rust as they are stainless steel and they have a plastic insert inside the hose. i only have standard maggie hoses so i cant say for sure but they swear buy using water
