  1. Just a comment from reading that thread, how is it hard to make an oval hole? Just drill too then file the middle out surely? It's a good tensioner, I'd imagine it would be pretty good at resisting knocks, but it could be much less effort to look after if you could easily tension it, or if it had a spring with an arm, then it could do all the work for you.

It certainly sounds like a good idea, I might well look into this in the future. Are there any alternatives though? Basically the same thing but something I can just plug into the network and use it rather than having to modify the xbox.

I've had a look around at the various methods, some involve having to have a specific game and an action replay chip box thingy. I'd much rather do ftp, because I've used it before. It looks like something I'll look into in the future, at the moment I just want to get my new switch and get the network set up and working properly. Once that's sorted I may well look into this. Normally I just watch stuff up here though, I reckon once I've got it set up I wouldn't use it much. Also, what about the videos themselves? All the ones I have are about 700x400px at the most, is this good enough quality for our tv? (32" widescreen CRT late 1990s jobby)

It means running an Ethernet cable down through the floor to the lunge, but we're going to do that anyway because my Dad's computer downstairs is on wireless, but it's rubbish in this house because of the thick walls. So we'll do 2 at once. How do you install the program on the Xbox? Or do you just run it from a disc like a game? I know absolutely nothing about them.

I'm really interested in this, I have an xbox 1 downstairs that never gets used, and it would be great to play stuff from the LAN drive on the telly. How exactly does it work? Just an Ethernet cable to the switch/router? Do you need the dvd remote.
  6. It's an Echo SL, which is just about the lightest headset going. What do those forks weigh? Maybe a set of Echo SLs are on the cards?

    Headset Issue

I actually read the topic on OTN, and it looks like you've looked into every possible problem apart from the cups themselves, could they have flared? The bearings are pretty solid sealed cartridges if I remember rightly, so I doubt they've shrunk. If you work in a bike shop, you should have a vernier, so you could try measuring the bearings and then the diameter of the cups to see if they have flared. It might also be an idea to measure the cups in line with the frame, and across it, so then you can see if the cup is oval.
  8. I'd go and live with Matt, then we'd have $12 million to play with. In a non-gay way, your plan was just pretty similar to mine haha.
  9. Looks sweet Tom, I'll have to have a bash next time I see you if it's alright, find out what all this front vee fuss is about.
  10. Can someone with a set-up similar to Krisboats run that Pi 1M thingy? Running something like an E2220 or an E5200 with 2gb of RAM? I'm planning on replacing most of my computer at some point next year, but I'm wondering whether it's worth going to the next level and getting an E8600 with 4gb of RAM, or possibly going DDR3? At the moment my current set-up got 1min 17 on the Pi 1M test, and I don't really have a problem with it's speed to be honest, but it would be nice to get it under 30 seconds or so. I don't play games really, just a lot of watching videos and listening to music.
  11. The fitting for the old mini lever and the new one are the same, so they should work on 07+ levers. Just thought someone might be wondering.
  12. Mine rubbed on my Kot MS2 pretty badly, but you can cuts down the side knobbles a good few mm, sorted mine out anyway!
  13. I read that thing Kris, went through to the download, got the patch and AVG popped up saying it was spyware, I stuck the patches name into google and there was a topic on some warez forum that basically said to ignore it and carry on, but it won't open even once I extracted it. EDIT: 5:37AM? That's dedication.
  14. Just on the way t'et pub, I'll catch it on iPlayer tonight or tomorrow some time, looks like a goodun!
  15. Your going to struggle. Second hand you might manage to find a set of older Mono Trials, the black ones, but I doubt it for £100. Other than that I'd only recommend Magura Louises, which you can pick up brand new for £80 each, but I've never seen a rear second hand.
  16. Looks like you were at Lee Mill to me? Can I have this pic in a bigger desktop size resolution please? 1680x1050 or bigger would be great.
  17. :$ I'll shut the door on my way out.
  18. Looks great Ben, I had a go on one identical to that the other day, it was the nicest short bike I've ever ridden!
  19. Good point, and how many laptops can you even buy that are 64bit ready. Get XP SP3.
  20. Xp is up to SP3 now. If you're still getting a 32bit laptop, go for XP. From what I've heard, 32bit XP is faster on any set-up than 32bit Vista. If you're going for 64bit however, get Vista, because 64bit XP is rubbish.
  21. 1 min 17 seconds for mine, pitiful.
  22. I did seem to remember it was that the heat treating/hardening process had gone a bit wrong on that batch, but I wasn't certain so I didn't want to say too much.
  23. I'm pretty sure that it was just on one batch of them where the outer race was too brittle, just ring up Onza, I think they offer a free replacement, if not then it'll be the half price replacement.
  24. When you say long stem, what do you mean? Is it 150mm long but has a 0 degree angle? Because that will make things hard. I'm using a Monty TI bar and stem on my Kot with 25mm of stacks, and it's great, the front comes up really easily, but it's rubbish for bunnyhops because it's so long. Learn to pedal hop instead, or tap.
  25. Unless you go for an "old school" bike like a TA26, you'll struggle to get a stock. There are a few 24s though, like the 24UK, Inspired Fourplay etc. You'll have to go second hand though if you've only got £500 to spend. Heres one: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=129404
