OBM knows about this stuff, I'm pretty sure it's retro drive, it uses two freewheels, so when you pedal foward on freewheel engages, giving one gearing, and when you pedal backwards the other freewheel engages, giving you the other gearing.

I had a set of Echo Forged 160mm Square Taper cranks, and they did the thing which you describe. It is simply because the tapers and the ffw thread are not aligned perfectly with one another. I suggest that you forget about it and just use them, as it won't have any effect over the way the bike rides, apart from the tension in the chain, which is bloody infuriating because when the chain is on it's slack point, it takes more of a pedal revolution to tension the chain and engage the freewheel. I just ride my bike if I were you, as I did for over a year when mine did this.

The 07 maggy frame didn't change for 08. The dropouts on mine were dead accurate, maybe Chai's was a dodgy one? I thought my 06 was ugly next to my 07. I also have to admit, the 07 one looked Nicer than my current 08. But, I needed a disc mount!

Nope, my mate had one, I did it by removing the lever blade then the lever body will pass through after some careful manipulation. Looks rather sexual Ads! I really like it, imagine that with a set of carbon forks though...

I tried a switzerland squeaker once, it bloody hurt! I stuck my foot in, let the brake off, scuffed down and catapulted myself onto my face.

They are basically a T-Pro rear hub with a disc mount, pump it full of grease and rebuild it every month and it will be fine. Or my T-Pro one was. Probably best off just buying a second hand TI hub.
