  1. If anyone has a king for this sort of money, then trot off over to my WTD thread and post there! I would get a pig but I have a new job and an loaded now, so the Zona is getting some pimpage!
  2. Has to be the Zona Zip frame, it has been the only part I have bought that has shocked me. In a good way.
  3. I'll bid on the front wheel too...
  4. I would buy it, but not from ebay. Contact the seller, go and see and test it then decide. (If you can).
  5. I probably could afford it, but I'm not buying it, because I reckon spares will be expensive as it has ceramic bearing etc. Its between echo and hope, probably echo now.
  6. I also reckon that deng looks much nicer.
  7. I am going to buy a new headset, so which should I get? It either: Deng (Echo, GU etc)HopeI can't afford a king by the way.
  8. I have found that the recesses on my zip frame are so small that you can only get the nut on, I can't get a tensioner to slot in. Mabye the slot is holding the tensioner up off the surface, so I am running it with no tensioners, bit of an arse to get the tension right but it doesn't slip once done.
  9. I agree, but my mate has a 221PR with dual hope mono trials, in his first set of wheels it nearly pulled all the spokes out of the rim. I think that this is because a disk will completely stop the hub from mving, but the rim can still move and twist as the spokes bend and strech.

  12. Good idea for a thread mate! My T-Pro snapped, so I got the whole thing shot blasted and welded up. twice. So I bought a Zona Zip frame and painted the T-Pro ready to go on my wall, and had a great idea, why don't I paint it white, then I can draw on it with dry wipe markers and design some frames? Excellent idea, except that dry wipe doesn't wipe off the paint. Of course I couldn't be arsed primering it or baking it, i just sprayed it because it wasn't like the paint had to stand up to much. So now I can't even use lemon cleaner on it, because water didn't work but did make the paint run slightly. Anyway get laughing!
  13. At the moment the Zona Zip is the nicest bike I've ridden, of bike I havn't ridden it has to be Adamant A3 or echo team.
  14. I snapped my 06 in exactly the same place, swopped it for a Zona Zip Frame which is so much nicer to ride.
  15. Because you have the worlds shortest forks and the worlds longest stem... Other than that it looks like quite a good spec.
  16. I put mud on the rotors to bed mine in, just wipe it round the disc then ride up and down your road with the brakes dragging until they start to bite well, then hose it all out and get them dry.
  17. And people took the piss out of me for my trek! That rode like a bag of shit to be honest, where as your bike will ride like a 20 year old xc bike with no seat and no gears.
  18. Pretty good, but I would leave the sound of the brakes in (just because I prefer it on) and don't slow mo every clip. I wouldn't play it through at normal speed first, just play it once in slow mo.
  19. Nice, looks a damn site niceer than mine, with half the paint shot blasted off it and patches welded over the cracks. My Zona Zip should be coming tommorow hopefully, crossed fingers!
  20. Well you can get 24" tyres easy enough, I think the stock favourtite is a high roller although my mate runs a 2.7 inch thing on the back,, its maxxis but I'm not sure what. I think all maxxis tyres come in 24, and as for rims, viz have just made some HERE It can be done, for your budget you could have a really nice spec.
  21. Depends on your budget, if you are limited to £500 then get a Zoot, if its nearer £700 then get a ciguena built up and get as many of the bits off here as you can. You could have double disc if that takes your fancy...
  22. If its barely ridden, and it has only two very small scuff style scratches, you could get about £650+, but it really depends on condition, if al the parts were brand new then it will be worth quite a bit but if any were any more battered than the others then the prce will drop a lot.
  23. I bought it off him and put a huge crack in it 6 weeks later. Just about got enough for my Zona Zip frame now though, thanks to Luke landing me a new job buildig a website for the place he works at, cheers mate!
  24. Too true, why does it matter whether you have gears or not anyway? What is the point in stopping people riding because they run gears?
