  2. i'm sure this has been posted a hundred times before good vid though
  3. i like both but prefer street because like I-LUV-TRIALS said at least with street you're near shops so you can buy food and drink without having to make it yourself and carry it round round with you all day.
  4. brilliant i'll try that anything to stop it loosening every ride!
  5. yeah, i've decided to go for koxx blues, people seems to be raving about them so i'm going to be ordering them from tarty ASAP! Would you say blues on the back and browns on the front or just stick blues F+R??
  6. adamant mate, just look at them! They look amazing! The adamant, in my opinion, is much more asthetically pleasing compared to the python, or gu, but mate, its up to you!
  7. yeah, just buy a czar, adamant, echo, zoo, or gu lever they are supposed to be really good, i am going to buy some with my next pay cheque
  8. hey, my bb keep coming loose, do you recommend putting lock tight on it or something similar? cheers
  9. yeah just warm soapy water and then tricoethaleen (i'm sure how you spell it) on the braking surface works a treat. Just make sure you don't get any on your paint because it'll strip it off
  10. i think it looks great but i dont like the booster colour looks odd. otherwise nice bike!
  11. anyone? i just need to know how deep to grind for a light grind and how deep for a medium grind.
  12. hi, thanks for all the info on koxx blues and browns and i've decided i'll go for the blues, but now i'm going to do my grinds but i do not know what a light or medium grind looks like , i would be greatful if someone could post up pictures of these types so i know for reference how deep to grind, and lastly how long will a grind last, bearing in mind i ride for a minimum of 2 hours everyday. thanks

  15. how good are koxx blues? Tarty say they are made for wet condition but work ok in the dry but would it be better to get koxx browns?? thanks
  16. nah i payed for the bike and i no i'm 18 but they are very possesive. He used to be a race mechanic and so thinks he knows about mountain bikes as well
  17. hey, i really need help becasue i really need a grind and new pads on my t-rex and my dad thinks that its a silly idea and is stopping me from having them done. Can you please say why they are good and how much they improve you braking and how they do not damage your wheels a lot. thanks it will be very much appreciated!
  18. do you have more than one gear on the back? But you don't have a rear mech.
  19. does nobody else have an opinion on this?
  20. yes i was looking at getting the Czar levers they look awesome and and they provide a bitmore leverage on your brake. i reckon you should but dont get fancy coloured one's they look a bit over the top just go for black or silver matey, cant go wrong!
  21. hey are chris king hubs and headsets really that good to warrant the super high prices? It is just me because £289 seems a hell of a lot just for a hub!
  22. alright mate, yeah this is a bike trial forum but i have 2 montesa's a 2001 and a 1999, i check my bike over after every ride, this means i can find anything broken through out the trial. Things such as chains should be oiled after every trial (after cleaning obviously) and any excess slack shuld be removed because if it get hit on a rock or something it could get removed from the sprocket. This has happened to me before and the chain gets crammed around the sprocket from your gearbox and is a right pain to remove when convered in mud and in the middle of a field or wood. Clean out airfilter after every trial as enevitably some mud or small twigs get in somehow, and spray all your engine with WD40 or similar to displace any water from cleaning this also prevents any rusting and makes it a bit easier to clean after the next trial. And finally, i blow my tyres up in between every trial and then let them down at the next trial according to the conditions and terrain. I do this to stop the bike standing on low pressure as it can come from the beading a bit and if let for a long time it sops your tyres from starting to crack. hope i've helped Jonny P.S. regards to plastics ring Sandiford's for all montesa parts. They are the best i can't remember the number of top of my head but go on google. It's James Sandiford not Ford.
