  1. Alonso also has a bit of a habit of getting iratic when under pressure, just think of all the bodged starts last year in a bid to get in front of Lewis. Interestingly he was also one of the main complainers about the track condition. He does like a good grumble! lol

  2. it may have come across as a bit arrogant, but then he's the best driver round that track by far, no one else seems to be able to match him on precision tracks that are surrounded by concrete walls.

He's good but I wouldn't say the best. Running into the back of a stationary car kind of proves that lol. I reckon he has also got the best car in the pitlane which helps, although the Ferrari's and now the BMW's too aren't far off.

  3. The worst bit is that Lewis recieves a 10 place grid penalty at Magny Cours yet Raikonnen got away with what happened at Monaco to with Sutil! Thats not on! Typical Ferarri mafia behind it.

Normally i'd be the first to agree with you regarding the whole FIA/Ferrari thing. Raikonnen lost control on a wet track, Lewis ran into the back of a staionary car at 50mph lol. Slight difference.

It's amazing how different a race is without Ferrari and Mclaren dominating it. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole thing. I probably would have switched off if Hamilton continued to lead.

Oh and does anyone else think Hamilton is getting a bit big for his boots? I thought he came across as quite arrogant in his post crash interview. He made a comment about cruising home for an easy win, I know he was faster but did he miss the bit where both Raikonnen and Kubica jumped him in the pitstop?

  4. It will depend on the trains, the NXEC section should be ok as I think they use the old Intercity trains (with the massive cargo space at one end). The Virgin stint is likely to be the problem. If you get one of the new Pendolino trains they only have space for 2 bikes (hung vertically if I remember), you may get lucky and get an old train like NXEC though.

I found when travelling between Uni and home with a bike the times I booked the bike on no-one asked and the times I didn't they did. can't win!

  5. Feeder - Buck Rogers: Reminds me of my GCSE's, particularly the line "I think we're gonna make it" lol

The Kooks: Last summer of uni, especially an all night party on the beach. Good times!

Something Corporate - Konstantine: Reminds me of DJ, only met him once but this was part of the soundtrack to the funeral video. Think Jonny J made it. Great song!

Kelly Clarkson - Since you've been gone: Reminds me of one day of my Rallye trip earlier this year. 7 hours of driving in one day!

  6. That's brilliant, who would have thought it eh? It's even better when you consider how small trials is as a discipline compared to the others. Either that or we talk a lot of crap :D

Is there potential for you guys to make money out T-F? I remember the days when the site was down due to exceeded bandwidth so it can't be cheap to run!

  7. The idea is, that just because you no longer have a job doesn't mean you don't want to carry on paying your NI. The more NI you pay, the better your pension will be. It's only something like £2.50 a week, but the benefits of paying it apparently outweigh the short-term savings :)

The state pension isn't worth the paper it's written on at the moment. Although the way it's calculated is due to change in around 10-20 years so the benefits will be much better for us youngs un than it currently is for out grandparents/parents.

I thought that NI could only be deducted through wages?

  8. As far as i know NI is for NHS and shit like that, basically it pays their wages and stuff, I think...

By paying national insurance you are entitled to NHS treatment, a state pension and other benefits such as statutory sick pay and maternity pay.

I had problems with my tax code last year. I sent them all my own copies of P45's which they then lost. In the end I sent a photocopy of my P60 and a statement of earnings from each previous employer. I then got a cheque for £900 just before christmas :D

  9. Few Q's Gav.

    - What do you need to do these type of events?

    *DL

    *Car

*Lots of money is that it? Any race exp. needed?

    - What type of car do you need, like i mean what type of power should it be pushing out

    - How much do you guys bump

    - Whys there 2 people in every car

    - Take me :P

    -Driving License

    -Car

-Helmet, probably arms and legs covered

    -Common sense

-perhaps MOT cert/ insurance docs (not that its any use on track)

  10. Hmmm I spent the weekend faffing around with my battery, i'm glad it was earthed properly now while I was rewiring it. I don't fancy exploding!

Did you try recharging the battery before you bought the new one? As Tomm said it could be something else that is causing your battery to run down and a new one isn't going to solve that.

  11. Whoa, it's arguement central over here. I don't understand how anyone can choose a bike or components purely on looks. Obviously its a factor but surely how it rides is more important? It's the same case with Mike's heatsink and the zoot , they sure as hell aren't the prettiest of bikes but they do the job perfectly.

Oh and not all Zoot's are ugly :-
