  1. to answer a few questions; firstly im a short ass at 5,5" which made perfect sense to try the 24" as i could never get on with a stock. After around 5 months on the kabra i can honestly say i can go bigger on everything....the main improvement have been gaps but i have increased my sidehop by an inch or so compared to my mod. I run 160mm mod cranks and find them perfect for fitting in full pedal strokes on close run ups where others only manage a half. Lastly the tapping a 24 issue! i can sympathise with you as i also struggle to tap mine, around 45" vertical wall is somewhere near my comfortable limit but find pedalling to rear without the tap can be done higher! Just a strange feeling if you are used to touching the front. My suggestion.....pedal to front....much more street cred haha
  2. I havnt tried a 26" stem no, that is the same stem i used on my mod and is the same as the frame designer uses (juan de le pena) Had a 2 minute hop on an echo but it wasnt set up very well, however it did feel lighter than mine at the time. 160mm cranks again from my mod, not a fan of long cranks as my legs are shorter than most peoples arms
  3. Have been making small changes to my 24" over winter and have decided on this spec to start the season on. Little bit worried about tyre choice on wet slippery rocks but am going to have to deal with that as it comes. Rides beautifully and feels lighter than it is, coust pads front and rear on a harsh grind is the only way. Thanks to TartyBikes for their continued support and to RadicalBikes for offering such an amazing facility in which to practice. Hopefully see lots of you people this year as i plan to get about
  4. Bollard to rail is all im saying. wow
  5. Jonny you absolute champ have been waiting for this since last summer! great event, great vid! is it Radfest 2012 yet?
  6. Such a beast! You wouldnt have touched any of those lines last summer and now your killing them! Reem Team
  7. Thats a great 24 set up u have there! can imagine it feels great to ride... mmmmm considering a frame change to the echo 24"
  8. Cant you just appreciate the unbelievable level of his riding and his training intensity? He attacks his riding in a completely different way to anyone on here...it has been his life's work after all and he also has the pressure of being number 2 in the Coustellier family which he explains in his dvd from 09. Yes it was a boring/basic/lazy edit but he only cares about 1 thing and that is getting up that huge stone!
  9. Some lines in there i have never seen done before... massive hook at barrow! Effortless riding was a pleasure to watch...
  10. Just entered online....think it went through ok. Really looking forward to this year
  11. Ok Dave i know im short! lol We miss you down here Steve-o showing us how its done...i need to ride Loughborough one day.
  12. Short and to the point, liked that a lot mate! x
  13. Cheers for the comments lads! Done a lovely job of putting it together Joe, was literally the best ride i've had in the barn....bring on summer
  14. Siiiick! Loving the blasts from the past! How can it be so popular in 95/96 that they have crowds doing Mexican waves for the riders when the sport was so small yet now they cant give tickets to the bike show away?! We need to take trials to the masses
  15. Awesome to see how it came out on screen...some seriously good lines! Such a good day
  16. Very nice! good stem height set up too. You could change both tyres and safe some good weight
  17. Cheers for the photos Joe Maher the Reemest kid in town. Loving the set up in the barn, constantly changing....roll on the summer and some weekends up north

    24" Tyres

Second that, Fat Albert is super light and super bouncy for the rear
  19. Glad to hear of another rider going the 24" route, i too had the same problem as you. Rode for 10 years on a mod with some good results but found i was lacking behind due to the progression of 26" riding. So in 2009 i tried my hand at 26" pure trials and was a fish out of water, at 5,5" it was always going to look a bit odd but found i didnt have the weight/strength to move the bike where i wanted it. So after another year and a half back on mod and once again reaching the limit of my ability i bought a kabra. Have been riding it for 4 months now and everyone i ride with say my ability has improved and i have managed to keep good control. The Kabra feels fantastic but is a little heavier than an echo....both look good in my opinion and will give u plenty to smile about. Does anyone know if big brands such as koxx, rockman or monty are going to bring out a 24"?
  20. Huge line mate! Biggest balls?! Also you must be made of rubber
  21. Some really nice moves in there man, loved the drop down to the beam and side hop straight back up the stack....its not as small as you made it look. the set up down there as it is right now is so much fun
  22. You guys really know how to ride and really know how to set up a section....after watching that vid all i wanted was to try the stuff u had laid out! Is this the 24 tour? Does a Kabra count?
  23. Nothing big.....lies Nothing special........lies Your so fast these days, quick. Secret sessions one morning this week?
