  1. i got the frame on advice given by forum members . i was debating whether to get one of these or a woodstock. glad i got this one, it rides really nicely and would reccomend it to anyone. my poor thomson seatpost has suffered though as it will only fit a 100mm long post. new tyre on the way too, dmr moto's are not the best for trials.
  2. my new frame arrived today. much nicer ride than my pashley.
  3. i thought magura had exclusive rights to make hydraulic rim brakes. otherwise im aure alot of the other manufacturers would have a go. i wonder what would be the outcome if chris king made some kind of brake.
  4. fair play to them, getting people interested in cars using comedy as a vehicle. its like people watching tennis because fit girls play.. and end up finding the game interesting. perhaps trials could do with something like this?
  5. the new school lure has got the better of me. i ordered a new alibongo frame yesterday. i built up the pashley to get back into trials after having a few, but compared to my old leeson this bike rides badly.
  6. boumsong, i think you mean this seat: the tioga spyder. i have one on backorder with extra since they are currently out of stock. carbon shell, titamium rail.. and best of all, pimp as. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/images/tioga%20spyder%20saddle.jpg
  7. cheers guys, just about to order an alibongo.
  8. nice looking bike. i like the mix of red and blue. maybe trim down your seatube if yiu are sticking with the mini seat. i used to have a set of those geax tyres .. where still sells them?
  9. good old 4130 chrome-moly reynolds 853 the reynolds 853 is better quality than the 4130, this is why 4130 monkey metal frames are so heavy since they need much more material to acheive a similar strength to weight ratio. this is esssentially what you will be paying for in bike frame, a better strength to weight ratio. = lighter yet stronger. another point, dont limit your marks by choosing just three materials. i did a project on mtb frame materials on my engineering course and chose magnesium alloy, carbon fibre, titanium, steel and alu alloy. just cos they are not used in trials frames doesnt mean you cant use them, explain why they are not used.
  10. hi, buying a new frame and my options at the moment are to either buy an onza woodstock frame or planet x alibongo. just wondered in your opinion, based upon personal experience which frame you think would be best for me to ride mostly street on. also any similar frames available that can be run with a proper seat? i have £200 max. cheers
  11. never had any problems like that with mine. although when i fitted an r.b booster i had to remove the seat. any problems you have though, clive will be able to sort out. hes a top bloke.
  12. cottage cheese can be good and remains relatively heallthy..unlike some of the pasta sauces available.
  13. best thing i would say to do is look on ebay for bikes that people have bought and decided its not for them or wrong size etc. sure to save a good few hudred quid so you can get a better spec for the money. as for models, for xc checkout the giant xtc's and for road look at the trek 100,1200 and 1500.
  14. 1. its creative 2. always new limits/possibilities 3. can ride in the same spot for hours 4. satisfaction of nailing a new move.. as with an disipline though 5. it looks interesting
  15. looks very nice.. much nicer than the old style supercross frame with that hideous monocoque xtort like main frame. good spec, i also like the graphics.
  16. i ride an oldish school frame: pashey 26 mhz. i do however like the feel of new school frames on the back wheel but do not find the bikes as practical and capable of being ridden in a more all round manner.
  17. http://img100.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ck0010cy.jpg spec: king rear hub, mono front. mavic xm719/ x717. arch rival v rear, deore front. burns. thomson stem ea70 bars king headset echo control forks getting a proper seat set up:tioga spyder with use post and a decent rear tyre.

  20. evening.. hmm good job my printer is working.. I will get a printed statement from the cash machine tommorwo (iv been looking alomost everyday!!) and show u that I hav had no money in my account from you . and il scan it or watever... and wake up chris, WE have lost a chris king hub + brand new axle and hope skewer, royal mail are turds and do not reply to emails.. u sent me a load of absouloute shite in exchange for my hub. (+new axle and skewer) most of the stuff is in shite condition and u knew it cos u were willing to send me a pair of bars, and a stem to make up for it... the tables have tured? il sort something out, im not in a super hurry though as I was ending stupid amounts of emails to royal mail... because of what you have said here.. I will still carry on trying to get hold of them , or sort something out ... like deciding on a fair balance of split.
  21. he obviously has specifically chosen the set up y change? wat is with all ov the super gay so called trials bikes, trials riding is seriosuly lacking riders with style the hop crap is taking over
