If it's a small shop, the license won't be a huge amount. Probably about £1500? That means he could even have a live band in if he wanted. Now - if he only played local bands on the radio, whom he had permission from to play the music, he wouldn't need a license, as he has their permission to do so. Although, if he didn't I doubt he would be caught, if he did, the fine is craaazzzyyyy.

Get a student account, if you can, and use the overdraft on that to pay for it. Only use that as most student accounts have 0% interest for 3 years or something. But, unless you're a student, in full time education at uni, I doubt you'd be able to get it. Still an idea though.

I like learning the basics of the stuff I want to get a grip on my own, so I don't look as much of a dick when I get it wrong. Then, to try and improve it, I'll go out on a group ride, and with the help of the others get much better. Just bear in mind though, I can only JUST about do a decent endo at the moment...
