i am going to have to try some taller bars on my rockman. you just look more comftable
I was running the Rockman 7075 riser (cut down to around 710mm) with the Rockman stem and one tall spacer if that helps.
And thanks for the comments everyone.

Posted this on OTN earlier and thought I'd post it here too.
I've said numerous times that I never want to ride mod again, but earlier this year I picked up a Rockman Austin from Tartybikes to try some updated geo. I never got a chance to do much filming, but here are a couple raw clips filmed on various video cameras and cell phones.

I'll be in Nottingham for the weekend and an hoping to get a ride in either Sunday or Monday. Is there any natural around? I'd be up for a short drive out of town. Pm me your number if you're interested.

Thanks for the replies everyone!
Where you likely to be staying Dave?
I'm not entirely sure. I won't have a ton of time and I'll probably be staying in Nottingham then heading to Belgium for the UCI round. How easy is it to travel by train across the UK?

I am coming over at the end of May and early part of June for a short visit and was wondering if there were any competitions that I could ride while I'm there.
Is there a single calendar that has all the dates? If not can someone please list the different organizations that run events or point me to their websites.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks for the comments.<br><br>I think the frame was an Echo ES 1 or 2. The geometry was similar to a Megamo.

Got a hold of some footage from 2001. I thought it was lost forever on a VHS tape, but I finally found it.
First part is 'Crunch' which was uploaded back in the day, second half is new (old) footage.

sorry, I've been out for a while.. what's the frame? in my view something between fans, koxx and rockman
I meant in the 3th vid - the red mod frame
It's a Fans mod frame.

First two videos are from this summer. Part 1 has some longer lines while Part 2 is mostly bigger moves and my personal fav of the two. The third is a short video made up of clips from two short rides in Thailand.

Some 2009 footage on a short silver Echo Control and some new stuff on my long white Echo Control.
I was back in Calgary and decided to see if I could do some of the lines I did back in 2002-2004. It blows my mind that it's been that long and that I haven't done those lines since. Fun times.

I have been riding my try all freewheel for about two full years now with maybe 1-2 skips total. Neither of them were bad enough to affect the move either. Broke a pawl in my eno pretty fast, first section of a comp. Try all has been the best freewheel I've ever used.

Dont worry about it dude, Just so everyone else knows....Its the Limey 3 26" frame available now. The 20" Proto is still being tested as you can see in the video section by Joe Seddon. We hope to bring it out by Oct-Nov Time. Santa Clause Maybe busy.
What is the geo on the 20" proto?

Great vid! What frame and stem is Joe riding?

Mine wasn't welded shut. Last season I took it apart and cleaned it out with no problems. Do it over a bucket or something so that you don't lose any bearings, unless you plan to go to a bike shop and replace the bearings anyways. I'll probably do the same when I switch cranks soon.

Just had to know what it would be like to ride my Megamo again. Audio got really scratchy when I uploaded to vimeo but oh well.
Comments welcome

haha pretty cool, how does someone so average become that 'famous' if you get what i mean?
dont get it
Someone needs a history lesson.

you can use the download link at the bottom of the page too, gives way better quality.
First half is from Victoria group rides filmed mostly early spring and summer, second half starts with mod footage from december, random stock riding and some new mod riding. The last bit was filmed on a different cam in full screen instead of widescreen so it looks a bit wierd but oh well.
Riders: Dave Herr, Russ "precise riding" Phillips, Chris Bruce, Mike Bentham and Ryan Leithwood.

Just a short video riding the stock and breaking in the new Northwave shoes. Filmed over a few hours riding on Hornby Island a couple weeks ago. Comments are appreciated

It would be around 4 pm I figure, even if we just get some phone numbers so I can give people a call as there could be flight delays etc. I've walked it before, but it would be nice to have a ride if possible.
Thanks!

Yea, we'll be coming in by train to malesherbes and are wondering if anyone has a big van that could take four people plus three large bike boxes to the comp site? Will pay...

Who has tried either the viz max or viz 700 bars?
Could you compare their feel to the monty or zoo bars?
Thanks

Here is my latest video. Filmed over the last few months since I've been on my Echo 24. Thanks to Dallas and my tripod for filming.
