so why recomend the pro to him then? imo get down to a group ride try a few mods n stocks but then since your a learner i wouldn't even think about getting a pricey bike just get a cheap second hand onza (t-pro for a mod or a t-rex for stock) 'cuz then if you don't like it you've not wasted too much cash and about the upgrading bit i bought my first bike trex (which is now for sale due to me loving my tpro) and all i've changed about it is a metal tpa because i f**ked the shitty standard plastic one a cheap onza will be more than adequate for learning on, but if you have the money and are set on buying a real nice bike go for it, but imo, onza, by the way this is not a sales pitch for my rex i just think onza's are perfect for leaners

the bike thats the most comfortable will be the the easiest to learn on, since you've had a mod go stock if you don't like it just sell it on...as i've said before 24's sicken me

i think finding local riders would be the fastest way of learning but i have a little set up in my garden with a few pallets and i go on trashzen or another of my favorites biketrials.com then rush outside and attempt the move and when i can do it on flat time after time i introduce going bigger, just realize that it's not as easy as the videos make it look and you gonna be trying to pedal hop for months on end but without practise your never going to progress

well i went ouit on my tpro for the first time today and i did my first sidehop and a backwheeled up soemthing then when i got home i did the same on some pallets jumped on my t rex and it felt horrible i couldnt even gap half as far as i can on the mod just found some old mod vs stock topics: and a linky thanks to benjohn-hynes

26 deffinatly! get your self validated and pm me about my trex seriously though im about your height and i love my mod to bits now thats why im going to sell the trex but i didnt struggle on the 26 for any other reason than it was my first bike so i think its personall preference for you it all comes down to what you feel more comfy on how far you might have to cycle try and get down to a group ride and see about just having a little go on a couple of mods nd a few stocks

another downer i suppose, i mean it'd be nice to have it as an Olympic sport but no just no its such a small sport compared to things like boxing, if they considered putting trials in why not tiddlywinks or skydiving imo bmx racing shouldnt be in there to me the olmpics should just be sprinting cycling - not including bmxing or trials weight lifting rowing boxing for deffo and one more fight event like judo wresting or something similair but just one more archery and swimming i think if trials became an Olympic sport the sport would soon become contaminated by a load of twats who think they know what theyre doing

compared to other hobbies its cheap as chips, it's wayyyy not as expensive as my enduro but its alot more expensive than playing rugby but aslong as you are prepared to look after the bike washing it and lubing the bearings and stuff you can increase the life of your bike and make it last longer

haha i thought i hadnt seen you post in ages, name change! widnes is alright if your local sorta thing, atleast theres not loads of security like in warrington, i was walking around with my bike trying to find somewhere to eat and i had two security guards following making sure i didnt go into the new indoors bit or start riding it :/
