Dude, that sucked! Was good to meet you anyway, and amusing to see you freewheeling around! Got some ok riding in, sheltered form the rain, was good just to get used to the bike to be honest and Mark was giving lots of good advice too! I'll be looking forward to the next one! Yeah, i don't have a car at the moment, and my girlfriend has a little 2 seater, no chance of getting the bike in there unless i take off the wheels! So, yes, I'll be on the train! I just got a VIz bb form tarty, and a tool to fit it, i have a couple of questions... Which side do i put in first? And which side goes on the drive side? The loose cup, or the whole cartridge bit? And do I tighten them both up bit by bit? or one side then the other? Sorry for the noob questions, and thanks for any replies! Cheers.

yeah same here, the guy who i bought the hub from had used a cassteet sprocket as a singlespeed,a nd the base had dug way into the splines. Made it really hard to get the spacers off. i will have to persevere as my new frame has a different chailnline to the old one. So, yeah, go for the single speed ones. I bought a Gusset one form tarty for £4, looks cheap, but does the job fine, and if you get the wrong gear ratio, it's only £4! lol The base is wider than standard, but not as wide as the way more expensive ones.

Meh, Liverpool post's still screwed, I'm missing bits anyway. Have fun all those who go!

nice one, I'm going to be there if i can get some mounts for my brakes. edit: Random question, and off topic, but does anyone in the area have a set of preferably silver, but black will do, 4 bolt mounts with proper fitting bolts that they would like to sell me so I can ride my bike?! lol Can meet Liverpool town centre at lunchtimes, need them for the weekend, so pref Thursday, Friday at the latest, PM me. £10 for the set (one wheel) and bolts must be spot on!
