  9. OK its that time now - if you want to come I do need your entries - this is a comp you cannt just come on the day so if you want to enter ring me 01702 559137 and put your entry in the post Dave B
  10. All you need is the acu licence nothing more as its a national trial not a club trial. If you want to be classified in the eu cup results then you do need a biu licence which cost £15 - if you only want to be classified in the British Champ results its just the £20 entry fee. Ring me if youre still unsure 01702 559137. Good to see you there its a really good venue - any more from hbtc coming as they already have the acu licence. Dave
  11. Fred My post was meant as a compliment to everyone who organises trials and make people aware of the work organisers in general do. I am sorry if you read something else into the post. Dave
  12. Thanks guys nice to know youre coming but pleassssssse send in your entry forms so I can start putting things together - see you all there Dave
  13. I think before criticising any organisers of both uci and biu trials it should be remembered that these people give their time for free – in this day, time is one thing people are usually not very willing to give. There is no financial gain for organising any biketrial event only a lot of work before, on the day and after. Very few step forward to help and those who do, do so on a regular basis and are the backbone of trials but still fewer want to take on the added responsibility of putting on a trial. Travel to events abroad have to be borne out of their own pocket and in todays climate very few have the means to pay for expensive trips even if accommodation is free . Organised trials in this country have seen a decline in riders to such an extent events this year have been cancelled, camping and bbq event with Tyketrial, Hampshire club , ebtc and no events this year with the YMSA. A lot or organisation would have gone into these events even though they were cancelled It should be remembered that some of the top riders started at these clubs – encouragement, thanks, understanding of the above and most of all HELP should be given and not continual criticism. Dave B
  14. Yes you need an ACU licence - if you havent got one then contact me and I will send one to you - its simple, no problem dc_bradley@tiscali.co.uk or telephone 01702 559137 Its a really great venue, sure you'll enjoy it - hope to see you there Dave B
  15. As this event takes place on Sunday 20 September entry forms should be in the post now - I have had many riders say they are coming but I do need entry forms or you cannt ride so come on put them in the post. Entry forms are availble to download on www.ukbiketrial.co.uk or www.ebtc.net or telephone me on 01702 559137 Hook Woods is a great venue and always enjoyed by riders of any ability - if youre not sure about riding in the event still ring me Dave
  16. Thanks Melvin, received your entry form and cheque - all riders with a BIU licence are also included in the EU cup comp and results so youre ok. Dave
  17. The Essex Biketrial Club will be hosting the final round of the European Cup which is held in conjunction with the final round British Biketrial Championship at the popular venue Hook Woods, West Horsley, Surrey. This combination proved popular last year and we hope to repeat the success this year. Pictures of the venue if you have never been there can be seen on the ebtc website and you will also find information/agenda for the trial together with directions and an entry form http://www.ebtc.net If you have any questions or want further info, please phone me 01702 559137 after 7.00 pm Dave B
  18. This event is hosted by the ebtc (Essex BikeTrial Club) and info about the venue/camping/directions, the comp itself and the entryform can be found their website http://www.ebtc.net/news.html Dave
  19. Op went ok - had 3 stents put in - believe he watched it on tv!!!! Hes at home now but has to take it realllllly easy for a while - do nothing. Spoke to him today and he seems in good spirits Dave.
  20. Known Terry and family for over 10 years maybe longer - didnt expect this - get well soon Terry Dave and Pam Bradley
  21. Really sad to hear that Terry had to cancel the comp as I fully understand the effort it takes to run one. The ebtc have had an August trial for the last three years and numbers are always lower for that trial and improve later in the year so hope this will be the case for hbtc. We have a trial on August 23 at Canada Heights MotorX circuit, Swanley Kent and if any of you would like to join us (this comp is natural no man made sections) the entry form can be downloaded from www.ebtc.net. The entry fee will include day membership to ebtc but you will need an ACU trials licence. Dave B
  22. eight entered in red route - just got back from setting them out - see you there tomorrow Dave
  23. Thanks Tom - save me emailing you tonight!!! see you Sunday
  24. All that stuffs there but not many rocks just enough for one section and the mx track is out of bounds - club has used that venue several times and will be there on 23 August - will you be at Cowden this weekend Dave
