  7. The 2nd Round of the BIU British Championship will be held at Lee Quarry, Bacup on Sunday 5th July 2009 - a fantastic venue with even more man-made sections than last year. The Competition will be held in conjunction with the Singletrack Classic Weekend Event comprising of Trials, Downhill and XC racing. More infomation on the weekend event can be found at http://www.singletrackworld.com/shop/acatalog/Singletrack_Classic_Weekender.html FREE Camping is available from Friday (just sign on at the venue from 2pm onwards) 24 hour security on the car park. There will be a range of bike manufacturers with stalls and demo bikes up in the quarry over the weekend. The Trials Comp on the Sunday is the second of a three round British Championship with the third and final round at Hook Woods on Sunday 20 September 2009 - another awesome venue. The best two rounds to count for the overall championship (so even if you missed the 1st round you could still be in with a chance to be overall British Champion or gain a place on the podium as well as the possiblity of picking up some amazing trophies!!! See you there………. Please get your entry form in as soon as possible so that we can prepare rider numbers and result sheets (remember cheques are not cashed until after the event or you can bring cash/cheque on the day).   10. Following the very successful demo at Basildon last Sunday (no it didnt rain!!) the Club is holding its next trial at the ever popular Barrow Farm near Chelmsford Essex this Sunday.   11. Hook Woods is at West Horsley in Surrey and is a private piece of land - you cannt just turn up and ride. You must always contact the owner Jim Conner 01483 285727 who lives there to see if its ok to ride and there is a charge.
  12. Dont forget the club is doing a demo in Basildon, Gloucester Park Sunday 7 June in aid of the Air ambulance. Motor bike trials will be in the same arena so should be good

    As I said before Anthony has said the sections will be easier than last year- I fully agree with your comments and dont want to see the winner losing 30 or more marks. I personally think that if the winner loses about 15 marks then this would be about right but you yourself know the difficulty getting the sections right. Dave No there isnt one as Anthony has a problem with his computer

    Yeh Dave said you had a problem last year going back and forth with a heavy pack on your back to mend Dannys bike - we're not getting any younger you know so lighten the pack or have your been training for this year!!! Dave has spoken to Anthony, he said the sections should be fine - hope to see you there Pam

  19. Just a reminder that Round 1 of the Championship takes place at Kelly Farm in Devon on Sunday April 26th. Entry forms can be downloaded from the downloads section of www.ukbiketrial.co.uk website - to those who enjoyed Hook Woods you will definitely enjoy Kelly Farm - out of class categories are also catered for. You will need an ACU trials licence but if you do not have one this can easily be arranged with the Trial Secretary. Dave

    Min wheel size is 20" max wheel size 26" for riders 15yrs of age and over. For riders under 15 max wheel size 20". Riders enter the category for their correct age group if they want to ride in class. Riders can ride out of class if they want to ride a lower class than their age would put them in on a non championship basis. Entry forms can be downloaded from www.ukbiketrial.co.uk

  24. Just seen the weather forecast for Sunday - should be sunny but chilly. Entry includes 10 elites and 10 experts to date but still getting telephone calls!!! Dave B
