"Unfortunately the date of Round 2 clashes with both a club competition and a UCI World Cup round. However as we are unable to change the date of Round 2 and in view of the current economic situation a riders best two out of three rounds to count for the 2009 Championship. In the event of unresolved ties the decision will go to the rider with the best score in the final round"See further details www.ukbiketrial.co.uk on website under UK Championship '

If you want to ride and have not yet sent me your entry I need to know by Thursday evening at the latest. Give me a phone call on 01702 559137. At present we have an entry of 60 Brits and 20 Euro's but definitely not enough Observers!!!! That sounds familiar I know but I really do need some help please for this trial. Give me a call and make me smile. Dave Hi Andrew Pam said you phoned a while back - need to speak to you before you enter - tried you tonight but no reply. Please ring me on 01702 559137 after 6.00 Dave
  15. we set the trials out with cycles in mind and the weather!!!! the problem last weekend according to Jim Connor was all the rain in the week prior to the trial, not the weather on the day but if the rain had been heavy on the day it would have washed the rocks relatively clean. thinking positively we are due for some good weather Dave
  16. Just a friendly reminder that entries for this trial are still being accepted - at present have over 20 European riders and 30 UK riders. If I havent got your entry and you will be coming please get your entries to me right away. See you there Dave
  17. Entries still coming in - about 45/50 at the mo including 20 European riders Dave B
  18. Like to see you but could you enter in advance this year!!!!!!!! Dave
  19. Hi Ben, The answer is yes. There is only one competion but two sets of results. Foreign riders cannot take points or places in the British Championship results. So the winner in each British Championship category will be the best placed British rider. The winners in the EU Cup results will be the best placed rider in each category who has a BIU licence whether they are British or foreign. Hope this makes things clearer. Look forward to seeing you there, Dave
  20. Mick This trial is a round of the British Championship. It is not a two different trials. British riders have to ride their normal British age related category and seeded British Elite riders ride the Elite route. The sections will be to British championship level and not to World or European Championship level. If a British Elite rider chooses to ride down a route then he is riding on a no award basis and this applies to both the British Championship and EU Cup. The EU Cup is not a championship but it does give the foriegn riders who have entered a chance of an award as they will not be eligible for British Championship awards. The EU cup awards go to the best placed BIU licence holders in each category whether they are british or foriegn riders. This has always been the format of the trial and was agreed with the EBU earlier this year. Dave
  21. Simple answer to this - riders will ride their normal British Championship route - entry form and details can be viewed/downloaded from www.ukbiketrial.co.uk. I have already sent or emailed an entry form and fact sheet to all British BIU licence holders and riders who have ridden in the Championship this year so far explaining the format of this event Hook Wood is always a good event -look forward to seeing everyone there (ENTRY FORMS NOW PLEASE - I'm sure you know by now if youre coming) Anyone wants more details give me a call - 01702 559137 from next Monday eve as am away this weekend. Dave B - trial secretary for this event (as usual!!)
  22. cheers James just received it Dave
  23. Well done all you lads taking part in the UCI and BIU world trials - glad to hear you are enjoying it as well!! Hope to see some of the riders who have been at the World rounds unless you are too k.......d Dave B 01702 559137
