Get a disc brake, and make sure you have disc mounts on forks and a disc hub. Or change rim, and buy the Magura.

Sherwood Pines is a mile ride from the bike shop at sherwood forest. Ask in the shop for directions when you go. It took about 10 mins up and down a long dirt track and then you turn off on the right and there about 100 yards into the forest.
