Seat post mounted shifters are common. You can touch other parts of your bike if your feet are up. Ben.

Hi Gareth, I have had short rides on bikes with a King, but I have never owned one. Kings feel good, but I will always use a F-F-W, for competition maintenance reasons. I do notice the extra engagements compared to other F-F-W's. The 108.9 feels very possitive in its action, I'm pleased with it. Ben. Hey Waynio - you got in between posts, I left £20 under a rock for riding in your garden..............

The look is due to photograph, its the same as Vincents. As Joe said by comparison with zoo bars the VIZ bars are near enough the same, but only near enough to quite different. The width is 750mm with less of an up turned feel than the zoo's, the shape suits me. Ben.
  5. Its possible to sell your bike after the event. Bikes are expensive in Japan so a used bike can be good value for locals. Chris Doney sold his when we were there together, make sure you know the exchange rate, ask one of the admin ladies to write out a sign for you. Ben.

Hi Matt, how you doing? Ref bars, using them because I find them comfortable, happy with width, no wrist issues. Ben.
  7. The “second bounce” effect is an advantage. I found that for the first 10 mins or so my timing and pedal rotation was a little out due to quicker pick up. With less engagements your front foot falls into the first engagement provided but with this freewheel the fall wasn’t there, I had to adjust a little but soon got used to it. It seems to take a lot on snatch out of accelerating, smoothing out the ride. Ben.

Had my first ride on a V racing fiited with a 108.9 freewheel yesterday, very pleased with it. The build is Koxx + Try All with the exception of the bars, which are Viz max, the rims are white with red tapes and blue spoke nipples. Spent the day setting it up at Shipley Glen. Sorry for picture quality, it was a bit dull. V Racing Ben.

  15. Could have built the Bike up using other colours, but we liked the "Orange" when offered in the frame. The reason that the red stem cap was retained is because the steerer tube is internally threaded, no flower plate needed, and all the forks came with red caps. If you look in the news sectiontion there are close ups of most parts. A full build like the one shown adds up to a retail price of £995, so not to bad as full builds go. Ben.
  16. Hope to be going, rode my 1st Trial in Chelmsford! Ben.
  17. I plan to arrive about 12, don't know many of the areas your talking about as I usually ride the moon rocks. I park up oposite the the little sunken garden place - see you there. Ben.
  18. Simon, no shouting from me. Trials is my chosen sport, some choose football – they go football training. I have a set regime of training that I stick to which hopefully leads to improvement. Sorry if I win comps, but it’s as a result of my dedication to a sport I love, not just enjoy. I would challenge anyone to put in the hours I put in if they did not enjoy it. Ben.
  19. No, bit less than that! PM me if you want a price. Ben.
  20. Would love to come but have exams. I would realy like to ride more of North wales as its close for me. Maybe I could book a guided tour later in the month. Ben.
  21. Yep, it was real hot, good for building up an undercoat for the Worlds! Two more for you...... HERE Ben.
