Well set up BB7's can be, but they'll have a different feel to a hope, and hopes feel better/ are far more reliable imo. Also, BB7's are cast, they can crack/ snap when abused.

Have you puit the calipers all the way in? Is there much life left in the pads? HAve you done the tpa? If you have, tensile offset mounts.
