  1. So it doesn't matter that its frayed round the edge!?
  2. I was using a metal cutting disk ...
  3. What sort of grinding disk should you use to grind a rim because today I found that I damaged a perfectly good disk.
  4. Headley

    Bb Length?

I'm assuming it's on a adamant frame from your avatar pic. If so then yes, 119mm will fit.
  5. I was going to a hill at speed and noticed my mates were a bit further ahead so I decided to try and catch up to them. I went to pedal but my feet slipped off just as I was going over where 'SLOW' was written on the road, my legs pretty much stopped moving but the top half of my body didn't. My chest slammed into the stem and then my head nutted the front wheel, I carried on over the front and rolled about 3 metres down the road and the bike ended up landing on me. This one isn't a bail as such: We were up shipley glen and it started pissing it down so we set off to the station, as we got there the train was just pulling into the station and so eveyone jumped on theirs bikes. Just as I got on, my right grip slipped straight off the bars and I just fell straight over the front and was left in a heap on the ground.
  6. Mod-stock is just a mix of stock size wheels and mod rear hub spacing hence the name, and I don't think there's a term for 24".
  7. So your saying the 20" Atomz is a stock simply because it hasn't got horizontal dropouts? It's to do with wheel size and rear hub spacing. 26" wheels, 135mm spacing - stock 26" wheels, 118mm spacing - mod-stock 20"/19" wheels, 118mm spacing - mod Edit: 118mm spacing is more common on mods and 135mm on stock.
  8. I havn't got the right tool to remove it but I know a couple of people that might have one.
  9. What make of freewheel is your old one? I've got a tool, so I might be able to remove it for you.
  10. There isn't a best or worst bike, it's just up to what bike feels nicest to ride for you as an individual.
  11. I had a pair of the sunline logo lock on's, and I don't think they were that great; they wore down pretty quick, pretty hard feel and so they didn't feel very comfy.
  12. That's why I said "quick photoshopped images". I only did them to get an idea of what it might look like; they don't have to be perfect.
  13. Here are a couple of quick photoshopped images i've done.
  14. I'd go with black or white. If you've got a pic of your bike post it up and people can photoshop it.
  15. He's looking pretty good on the stock and he's at least 14, if not 15 now, but still amazing.
  16. The old echo team stems (i'm asuming it's this one your on about) geo was 160 by 25, but now they've brought out a range not including the old geo. So the only stem with the same geo is the viz logic. As for the bars, trialtech are probably the closest you'll get.
  17. Thanks for the replies everyone; from what people have put and down to only using an alan key to tighten the pedals it's most likely down to not fully tightening. I'll be going down to the lbs to get myself a pedal spanner tomorrow. Cheers again.
  18. In answer to a couple of questions, the pedals don't come loose before they strip and I tightened them up nice a tight on both sets of cranks along with some locktight on the second pair of cranks. Edit: I havn't been using a pedal spanner just a 6mm alan key and long bar on the end.
  19. Hi, recently I have had 2 pedal threads strip from 2 different pairs of cranks; the first was echo forged and the second echo CNC. Both times the threads have stripped from just pedaling along normally. What could this be down to? the pedal threads themsleves? I'm not too shure myself.
  20. You seem to suit the ladies helmet though cockshott Back on topic... I've got a giro hex at the moment, they're brilliant helmets; good protection, very comfy and also look good.
  21. I'll deffinatly be there. I might be able to get a couple of others to come aswell.
