  1. scott wilson has his hoses in his frame..... my front hose is down my fork tube so i can tailwhip. good idea, everyone should do it.
  2. frikking pigs, any excuse to tell you off. a place we've named 'the old biddies place'. its an estate. has a nice flat spot for flatland tricks. a few good gaps. decent walls to drop from. and to put the cherry on the cake, has a loada chavs that are forever saying 'whoaa mate that was sick, lee check out this guys spin thing'................
  3. not another what brake thread!!!!!
  4. thats the problem where i am!!! i can backwheel maybe 1.5 foot but thats the only size wall near where i live, a 1.5 foot high wall or a 3.5 foot wall!!! so annoying, theres no where local i can ride and keep getting gradually bigger.....
  5. yeah i run a 203mm bb7 on the front and a hs33 on the rear. hs33 with no grind and standard pads. yeah they do slip sometimes. as for the bb7...works a treat. the other day i did a front-rear landing, my rotor bolts loosened cos of all the force and then the tyre gave way leaving my shins shredded on the pedals. also my hs33 is lazy but its too complex for my to bother fixing.
  6. screw that!!! the best way to improve your muscles for riding trials is by riding trials......same goes for motocross. i generally ride about 3 hours each day everyday in the week. so i'd say im pretty fit now. i suppose going to the gym helps but i think trials is more about technique rather than muscle....and therefore riding (rather than gyming) is more beneficial.
  7. sidehops bore me shitless to be quite honest. ok i cant do them well and when i can i might become addicted but they are soo tedious to watch. drop gaps are ace. and tailwhips on walls etc are fun. and 360 endo drop offs are lush too.
  8. thanks that helped a lot. i just went riding and it is, as you said, its like taking a step back and remembering to backhop. however now when i backhop my pedals ratchet back....so i cant do it....i think its because my technique has improved so much though. thanks
  9. thats the thing....i'm not exactly a beginner. i can gap about 5 foot, pedal up or backwheel about 2 foot. the thing is because i cant hop in the same place (without keeping release and grabbing my brake) it means i have to hop from obsatcle to obstacle really fast. this is scary sometimes and very dangerous because my tire may be just on the upside of the wall (on a gap) and then when i try to gap i sometimes fall off. i used to be able to hop on the spot (brake fully locked) but on my new bike the pedals come back and i don't know why!!! recently i've been backwheeling to a 2 foot wall and then dropping the other side (about 4 foot). it really sketchy because as soon as i land i have to kick again and go straight over. its a problem because if my backwheel is not on far enoguh i can do a small hop to readjust.......
  10. well ive been riding for about 6 months now and im getting pretty good. may have seen my video in my other post. ive got a zoot and am finding it hard to stay in the same spot whilst on the back wheel. when i first started (backhopping) i cood lock my rear brake and hop on the spot all day long. however on my new bike my pedals come back more and more each hop i do. when hopping on the spot do you have to constantly release and grab the brake?? i swear i never used to..... same problem after gapping....front wheel just drops straight away. i guess i can fix this by getting the bike more vertical however i hate putting my whole weight on the rear brake incase it flips out. thoughts anyone, also im finding it hard to hop with my arms bent. it feels as though i need a longer and higher rise stem....do i??? thanks, tris
  11. apparently ' I'm New' Topics get people validated??? crazy they annoy me.....true we do need an automated message for each 'New Member'!!!! welcome mate. have fun.
  12. pretty sweet. the brake levers are on the wrong sides though!!!! are you from the uk??
  13. old biddies telling you off for riding on the pavements really get to me!!!! (you should be doing that!!!) its not like i speed past them and knock them of their feet!!! cant help but swear at them and carry on riding.....
  14. agreed. i had that but i just greased it up and added a lot of chain lube. breaking things on my bike annoys me. bein told 'i suck'....grrrrr. punctures!!! brakes slipping!! loads more things

    Hi

exactly. u validate every person that comes on and says 'hi im new'. but i mean come on do you really want hundreds of posts saying that?? seems pointless to me. anyways im just trying to get the point accross and in all honestly. forget it mate.

    Hi

hello, welcome. follow the rules and you will never get validated.
  17. sweet vid man, not sure about those tight legins trousers though..... how old r u?? u been riding for long?? sweet,,,,keep it up dude.
  18. yea loctites good but only tighten them up untill there is no play. if you overtightn them the bearings will not move smoothly. and dont bother with a cone spanner, a normal adjustable works out just fine , i find.
  19. i always liked gears. however when got my singlespeed bike its soo much better. none of those crappy rear mechs and gear changers. i d say its a waste of weight to have gears.
  20. lol yeah, thats my mate ed, hes such a legend but he cant ride a bike for shit. everything i try he always gives it a go but he doesnt have a clue what hes doing. spose it doesnt help having a mtb (not to mention a SARACEN!)
  21. ive been trying to do 180 hops for a while now and i cant seem to get enough spin. by doing a normal hop i can turn maybe 120-130 degrees but i cannot get to the 180 point!!! also i cant american hop and turn whatsoever!!! i can american really well (like 2+ foot) but i cant turn whilst im doing it. i really want to learn to 180 hop of things and fakie out, and eventually do 360's. can anyone explain tips?? thanks. (i did a search but couldn't find owt)
  22. yeah i find it realy hard to pedal hop with bent arms!! i dont know if its my bar/stem setup or whether i just am doing it wrong??? any thoughts???
  23. well i have these pegs that just screw onto the axle. i thought all pegs attached like this?? and they worked on the front of this crappy old bike i have so i dont see why they wouldnt work on my onza. the wheelnut goes on, nice and tight, then the peg will screw onto the final inch of thread, i cant see it bending in all honesty....
  24. ive decided to get a 10mm disc wheel. then im going to buy some small pegs like 2-3" longs. my dropouts are flat and will allow me to have a thin peg like 35mm diameter. to be honest those fat pegs are ghey some im going to get thin small ones. if i make a habit of putting most of my weight on my bars and stand as near to the forks as possible it will reduce the strain and therefore im hoping i will not get bent axles. thanks
  25. actually no i never have done bmx because i cant stand those bikes, however i like bmx tricks!!! thanks guys, sorry about the terrible editing and quality. im seeing red jumpsuit at a gig in may with my girlfriend!! gunna be awesome
