    When I was younger the first thing I used to do was put the steering wheel down and as far in as it could go, because it felt 'sporty'

    The same with cutting down gearlevers to give a shorter throw.

    Fast forward a few years, and you'll find that having all the controls in the right position makes a real difference.

    You're more in control with the steering wheel higher up and closer to you, and you want to keep your hands on the wheel as much as possible, so the closer the gear lever is to the wheel the better.

    When it's high up and close, you don't move your arm so much, but just rotate your forearm and it's right there.

    Higher gearlever is way way more comfy. I hate getting into cars now and finding I have to reach down for a gear lever

    Jardo always gets wound up when I skip a gear. Either up or down.

    Thing is, I have rational and logical explanations for doing it. And he can't counter with anything constructive, so we'll just assume I'm right and he's wrong :lol:

    Hahahaha, this is SO true!

    'Pal' is about the ultimate insult, because it means 'I think you're a fanny, but I'll be friendly because it's patronising'

    As for 'chap' I think it's come about because 'mate' is so commonly over used these days, and has been stolen by chavs with 'maaaaaate'!

    Sad to hear they're killing it Alex :(

    I think they made some of those tyre chicanes far too tight, it's not skill having to stop and go full lock like that, it just kills the flow!

    Also - what on earth is on your foot :lol:

    My kit car is as fast (or maybe a bit faster) round Anglesey Coastal as Adam Morgan in his BTCC Merc A Class, bizarre!

    Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? seriously :S

    Are you doing RoR in the Westy then Adam? I naturally assumed it'd be in the MX5!

    Why havn't any of your homos added me to this list yet?

    I've been busy.

    Figure of 8 loop is fairly shit. the circuit is laid out to flow a certain way, the kerbs and apexs don't really 'work' on the figure of 8, not to mention the increased chance of an off and not a huge amount of run off before trees when coming backwards past the mole hill.
