I have Coust pads which are nice, but I think they'd be better if they were longer. Because they are only tiny, they roll in your magura and it feels weird at the lever sometimes. (If you have them just lock the back brake on and rock back and forth and you'll see/feel what I mean.)

On the news they 'claim' it was only 3 stations but seemed like more because people walked out from either direction (so from the station they were arriving at and the one they departed from) therefore making it look like 2 bombs had exploded instead of the 1. *Apparently*

According to my cousin who works in Canary Wharf, police told them they shot a terrorist dead outside. :lol: Also, her friend who works in an office near some station beginning with H (I forget the name) apparently saw and heard an explosion at the station from her office across the road and police quickly turned up, sealed the whole area off and that station hasn't been reported on the news as a bombed one. Never sure if you get the whole picture in situations like these. :)

So I'm sure you've all seen the coverage on television and in the papers. Awareness has definately been raised like they said, but what do you think will happen next? For me, I can't really see the G8 leaders not offering more aid and better aid. If they walk out of the summit after talking and haven't set out clear plans to help the countries who suffer so badly then there will be a massive outrage. I believe many of the leaders will have been greatly 'moved' if you like by the recent coverage. We all know they have the figures of how many die a year or how many have died or AIDs but figures aren't really moving for me. But I felt uncomfortable and sad when watching earlier as Bob Geldof showed the video of the kid trying to stand up and walk and not even having the energy or strength to do that. I suppose seeing it shows the problem much more clearly. (Y) Basically what do you see for the future? Do you think poverty can be eradicated from the world we live in?
