  3. Is anyone still riding Bristol tomorrow?
  4. Yeah it was ok between the torrential downpours! - Looks like the weather forecast was pretty spot on this time...
  5. I should be there at about 11, hopefully the weather will be ok...
  6. Bristol on monday sounds good...
  7. Yeah the kenda nevegal tyre is super grippy and you can get it in a few different bead/casing options. I used the 2.35 version and it was almost as big as a 2.5 maxxis.

    Curtis T1

Sorry i'm not sure - i got it second hand ages ago. They seem quite hard to find now although i think Truvativ might still make one...

    Curtis T1

Yeah fresh from the workshop, Gary was really helpful with customising the geometry etc, and also yeah still made just outside Frome. Haha yeah 0 rise, but it all works out as it counters the extra height of the forks, and the BB is around +5, so the BB to bars feel is still pretty trialsy.

    Curtis T1

Thanks, yeah i've been using them for a while now, they just make everything really smooth and let you get away with harsh landings. They're also really comfortable for front wheel moves and stuff, the only real negative point is the extra weight. Having said all that i'll probably try out some rigid forks on it soon though .

    Curtis T1

Thought i'd put up some pics of my new bike now while it's still looking fresh! It's a standard Curtis T1 with a 23.5" top tube/1060 wheelbase, and also the headtube has been raised by 20mm to take the longer forks. First impressions of how it rides are good!... Full spec is: Frame: Curtis T1 23.5"/1060 Forks: Marzocchi MX Pro 50mm travel Headset: M:part Inline Seat/Post/Clamp: Eclat Complex/Token CNC Ti bolt Wheels: Rear - Sun Rhyno Lite/CK Classic/Sapim Race/Surly 19t Front - Mavic Crossride Tyres: Rear - Kenda Nevegal Stick-e Front - Kenda Kinetics Rear Stick-e Tubes: Nutrak Lightweight Brakes: Rear - Avid Ultimate/SD7/Odyssey Front - Shimano XT 160mm Bars: Easton Havoc 711mm Stem: Thomson Elite X4 110mm Grips: ODI Ruffian Lock-on Crankset: Shimano XT 165mm 22t Pedals: Corsair Chain: KMC K710 Kool

    Streety 26"

I know you said that you don't really want a steel frame, but just thought i'd add that Curtis were happy to make me a frame with a longer toptube/wheelbase than the stated options - (it only went up to 23", but i wanted 23.5" which should give a wheelbase of around 1065). Also you can raise or lower the headtube to give slightly different bb heights without affecting the head angle too much - (which is pretty spot on at 72*). You can also choose different gauge tubing depending on how light you want it. Basically my point is they are a lot more customisable than the website suggests. (I'm just building mine up now so will put pics up when it's done).
  15. Anyone want to ride Bristol on tueday? Me and a couple of others from Frome are heading up, will be there by 12 at the latest, probably start at either lloyds or castle park area...
  16. Great videos-the riding in Canada looks even better in HD!
  17. Cool pics, especially the first one.
  18. Wow-that would still be an awesome vid even with brakes! Crazy bike control...
  19. Almost unbelievable! So much progression since the last video.
  20. Yeah i should be able to come, 12 sounds good. Weather looks good too.
  21. Hey, basically i'm interested in getting some atomlab aircorp pedals as i like super thin pedals, but i've heard about some reliability issues, has anyone had any good/bad experiences with them? Thanks.
  22. This has happened to me aswell, what size rotor are you running? I'm guessing it's around 160mm, try using a larger rotor (so the caliper doesn't rub on the spokes).
  23. Thanks for all the great comments guys! - They're much appreciated.
