whats going to be the format at fort william?i know it says that riders qualify form previous day?but has it been worked out yet how many qualidy?how many sections etc for the final? Duncan

I agree with much of what ben said.I dont think anyone will argue that the top few riders deserve support at world championships. I think over the past few years brit trials riders have won 4 golds and 3 silvers?am i right in the juniors? British cycling no doubt will use this succes to get their funding but then doesnt give the trials riders the benefits. I dont think taking uci reps on the london ride will help your cause though. Its just two very seperate things.Its a competition issue and dont see how taking them on a massive street ride will make them think differently. They will be very elite minded and seeing aload of folk bashing up the streets of london will do more harm than good. Before anyone gets at me that wasnt a dig on anyone and i think the ride sounds awesome i just dont thing british cycling officials will feel the same. The way forward has to be one uci british championships, in venues such as fort william and blackpool where people can actually watch. Having two series is just wrecking everything and has personally put me off for the past couple fo years. out of interest? how many riders to people think should be supported for the world champs?

yeh kinda!usually isnt too bad to ride them in the wet. can be more fun sometimes but when me and daniel were there in the rain saturday they were all grimey so was pretty much impossible to ride them!there is another sweet spot about 5 miles along the road which is pretty awesome. would be better in the rain aswell. There likes loads of thos tank defense blocks from the second world war. loads of them, some slanted knocked over and stuff. pretty sweet.

think ill make portobello on the sat but not sure about the party at the park or cambusbarron on the sunday!

I think the state of biketrial in the uk is partly to blame for the smaller numbers entering the biu world champs but i dont think its the main reason. the main reason is the new categorisation which in my opinion is stupid and the general discontent with the way the biu events are run in comparison the the uci with respects to the actual organisation and set up of the events and the rules. in my opinion the biu will die out soon despite the uci's elitist approach so there will be a void unless the uci makes an effort at the lower levels like the biu has always done.

the reason no other manufactures is that monty are the only company that pay the licensing fee to their respective federation at least that was the case a couple of years ago.
