  1. Ugh hendrix style bass... be gone lefty
  2. I'm currently prepping my commuter for anothe re-spray. I'm using matte paint so i wont use lacquer. Firstly ive smoother the origional paint to remove any lumps from poor painting and stone chips, I've keyed (roughed) the current paint, To give the primer something to cling to. Primered the frame 1 or 2 coats should suffice. Smoothed the primer with very fine sand paper, this gives the paint a good surface to cling to and also means it will be smoother once dried. Apply the paint in very light coats i usually do 3-5 coats depending on the colour (Reds and light colours usually require more i've found.) Again sand with very light wet and dry paper. Laquer either 1 coat if your feeling lazy or as many coats as you want, the more coats the more protection and lustor the paint will have.
  3. I did a whole bike in sections. Sand, primer, paint, lacquer. Its that simple.
  4. I love my ibanez neck because its thin, but thats just my playing style. I also love thicker necks they seem much nicer for strumming along and general relaxed playing, schecters seem to be a middle ground (Obviously depending on model) Which is why i'm not sure what i prefer.
  5. Ha ha you hadn't even seen one until i showed you them the other day. They are awesome, especially the 7 strings, although not sure whether i prefer the neck on my ibanez or on the schecters.
  6. Well if it makes strings lasts as long as it claims then £5.50 a month isn't all that much. Do i really need to use it before and after everytime i play? Dan very very jealous of the C1 thats on my wishlist at some point.
  7. I agree!!! Well now i do, i really didn't think it would be as good as it was...
  8. Its a stick of tightly rolled cloth soaked in oil. You rub it on your strings and finger board before and after playing (Or every so often) and wipe of the excess. It makes your strings slippery as hell and prolongs the string life. I just realised i sound like a f**king advert but hey its really good. http://www.themusicking.co.uk/ghs-fast-fret It also keeps the neck in good condition and stops the fingerboard splitting. My neck looks brand new . The cloth it comes with was black when i'd finished i didn't realise i was so dirty.
  9. No seriously, i can get up and down the neck much faster, bends are easier, pull offs are easier, its just a general all round improvement. I have never used anything on any of my guitars neck i wish i had earlier, i suppose i've saved the neck aswell.
