right i have a 24seven slacker ss. I had an idea of converting it into a street trials bike. Rigid forks, longer stem you get the idea. The bike currently weighs 16kg its not that bad for a steel framed jump bike. current spec. Marzochhi dj3's Front and rear 36h 24seven rims with fluro orange sealed 24seven hubs new dmr wingbars charge saddle 24seven bmx style stem maxxis holy roller tyres rear avid juicy 3. 24seven bmx style 3 piece cranks with 24seven y frame pedals. i have a vague idea what spec i'd have it if i did go through with the conversions. Echo controls, or urbans (stock) trialtech 24" black drilled (or not) with some deng hubs probably, unless i can get some pro 2's A longer stem possiably hope. bars maybe staying the same temporarily because i like the rise. tyres would stay and again some isis cranks, deng or trialtech. The frame geo (i can find) is: top tube. 21.75" chainstay. 15 1/2" head angle. 72 degrees. BB. 12" My questions are. Would the rigid forks seriously kill the rideability? Would this be a reasonably good idea? should i be looking at running a rear V, if so what arms/ pads? Any photoshop ideas would be great. Any other information you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Davey. x
