  1. Really nice and stealth, get rid of the pegs and get a black maggie for the rear and mabye a different seat and it'l be perfect.
  2. Hiya guys and gals. Could anyone please help me, i need advice on what crankset to run. I want something that is stiff and reliable but also not too pricey. Also, what gear ratio shall i run? I need something that will be good for high speed things but good enough for more skippy, technical, static stuff. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance, Dan.
  3. I'm the same, i'm going to be building a trials bike soon. Spec as follows: Frame: Base Bikes TA26 (red) Fork: DMR Trailblade 24" (white) Wheels: Halo Combat 24" (white) Bars: Easton EA70 Monkeybar Stem: Hope (silver) Brakes: Hope Mono trials 180mm rotors Still wondering what crankset to go for!!
  4. I suppose BMX street is similar to street trials, i have a few BMX friends who i hang about with when they go riding street and i tag along with my trials techniques. I hate BMX anyway so trying trials on it would be overkill.
  5. Love that, similar to the design i'm having for my TA26, red frame, white forks, white rims.
  6. Actually, come to think of it, im needing brake advice aswell. I want to use discs front and rear on my Base Bikes frame. Are Avid Juicy 5's any good for trials or would i have to use Hope Mono trials brakes?
  7. Hey, im from just up the road in Dumfries, its a shame there's no one up here (which isnt that far up!!) who rides trials, i've only got the BMX crew to hang about with when they ride street. Anyway, welcome to the forum!
  8. Yeah i know, im into bikes anyway but im just starting to get into trials as another thing to do apart from XC trail riding. Do you think id get away with 2.35" tyres. If you're saying 2.5's rub against the stays then i suppose i could. So thers nothing wrong with running 24's on the frame? I was on another bike forum about this and one guy said the BB would be too low for street trials, which is what i want to do.
  9. Hey im a noob here Ive been looking at buying a Base Bikes TA26 frame from tartybikes. Is it ok to run 24" wheels on it? Surely theres nothing stopping you doing this. Any help would be appreciated.
