Hopefully it's not improper to ask, what did you spend on that? Looks great, very sleek.

That has a dropped bottom bracket. You will find that trials bike's have a raised bottom bracket. Do a search for bottom bracket and geometry, and have yourself a little read. The BB is a big deal in trials bikes, and it will affect your ability to learn back wheel moves, side hops, etc. I believe most riders would say that that's not a great choice for trials, but if you wanna dirt jumping I have no opinion about that. (other than trials is soooo much more fun, you should do trials.)

I am almost certain that you need to get a stiff copper brush, and "BRUSH" it to get the "BRUSHED" look. Hence the name. Haven't done it to a bike, but did it to an intake once-came out great. Definitely one direction, not back and forth.

I really expected to do some math, before I opened this thread. Don't you all use the metric system over there? You are talking about Miles per Gallon, not Kilometers per liter or something? 2001 Daiwoo Nubira 2.0 liter 4 cyl 38 mile per gallon average Manufacturer says 30-32MPG. When new thats what it got but I removed some weight and added cold air intake and exhaust reprogrammed the computer and added about 8mpg-that was 100,000 miles ago, so those parts paid for them self. I drive it like I stole it most of the time, so in town it's like 32mpg At 70mph, fully loaded for an extended trip I can still get 36Mpg with the AC on.

How about farmers markets, where local people sell stuff they grew or made? You gotta be able to make something that someone wants. How about sock puppets, or birdhouses...Or maybe you could turn tricks, prostitutes don't pay taxes... But seriously if you don't have any skills, then how would you make money at home? Is school an option? If you can't work here, and have free time, learn a skill. With grants and student loans you could go for a class or two without killing your budget.

Best video I have ever seen. Very inspirational.

So dang is a person? Or a factory? Why are they different brands if they are all made by the same person or factory? Oh I guess I could do a search for Dang, but I would guess it would be hard to sift through all the little mentions of him.

Is there another option? If the lever was in next to the grip it would smash my other fingers, when I used my one breaking finger. Suppose a lever could be cut down, but then you would loose the mechanical advantage. And WTF there's like 300 views and 69 votes. You other 230 people don't use fingers? Is it difficult for you to vote? You clicked on this thread, why not participate...?

Top tube is the issue. I have an old school bike with a straight top tube. Can't really see myself wearing a cup, but I have this huge bruise, and two spots that split open from the impact, and the boys rest right on them. To close for comfort. I'm thinking of trying to explain to my wife that I need a new frame, so I don't have to worry about this. Unfortunately I have only had this bike a few months. I should have held out for a newer style frame I suppose. Thanks for the input, I guess... Who is Dang?

I was scared vary bad this last weekend. Hit front tire whilst trying to hook, and had a nice face plant. The issue is that the top tube missed the "boys" but just barely. I am thinking I would be in the hospital now if the "boys" had not bounced up when I hopped. So I think I will start wearing some protection. Do any of you where a cup? If not have you had reason to wish you had? If so how worth it is it to you? Thanks Caleb

What are you talking about? I have never seen a mini trials bike. Would someone post a pic or video. Thanks

Wire walking, and trapeze. If you don't belong to a circus just practice your trackstand everyday for a month.

I'm from the states and understand your issue. There are few jobs that pay "under the table", and you are correct in thinking it's a bad idea. If you have any specific questions feel free to email me caleb@craniyums.com Where are you, and what kinda work have you done in the past?

I started with biking early, but just this year on a trials bike. I am turning 30 this year. I wish I would have started at the young age of 20! Have fun, and tell the folks it's your life, and you should spend it the way you want. Have fun every day! Do something every day that scares you!

http://www.cancerfightingstrategies.com/ Some interesting ways to help your body recover. Not sure if you want to try to go the natural route, but I have read many success stories about these methods, and products. Good luck, keep positive, and you will beat this.

Earth Dance for sure. Happens all over the world on the same weekend. Prayer for peace with thousands and thousands around the world all at the same moment. Going to the Norther California hub event this year, Kathmandu next year, and Melbourne Australia the next.

There are some very small GPS tracking systems for pets. Regional service so I can't find anything for the UK when I search from here. I would think if it can be added to a cat collar then it would be small and lite enough for most people. There are several services here that you anly pay for when they switch it on to locate the animal, so there is no monthly membership fees.

I've got a stripped 4 bolt mount, didn't fix it. I was able to fit a nut under the mount and it works fine for me. Probably not the most kosher fix, but it was free to me. The mount prevents the nut from spinning, so it was a piece of cake, took about a minute to fix.

Looks "OK " to me. I would be curious why there is a pic of the hs33- not on the bike. It does not look real new to me, so someone has ridden it for more then a few month, and it looks to be in one piece. It may last you quite some time, but that would depend on all sorts of variables. If you are small, and want to do 2 wheel moves, and not take huge drops, this will probably be a great first bike. If I was interested I would ask for some better pictures for sure. Should get one of all the tubes, look for dents and cracks in the welds, and a good pic of the drive train. A picture can say a thousand words, and a motivated seller may say a load of B.S. to sell it. The pics on the add don't really show you what condition it's in.

DataDot for security. It's not a tracking system, it's pepper flake sized wafers with a 16 digit #. They can be sprayed into BB, handlebars, inside rims, and hubs. It is readable by a 6X scope, and most law enforcement carry them in there cars. They put this stuff all over all new Toyota vehicles, and Nissan HID lights. So small you can hardly see them, hit it with a black light they show up, pick one off, check the # and "wammo" you get your bike back. This requires finding the culprit, or pawned bike, so it's not exactly fool proof. Just the only way to get past a ground off serial #. Not what you asked for, but it is my best invention ever-I made the original adhesive, (but I don't make a dime so I'm not advertising.)

Try some visualization. When you get on your back wheel don't look around-especially down- and picture what you want to do. Kinda elementary, and you probably already do this but, it helps me. Most important thing is to let your body do what it "knows" it should do. Getting the mental side of any sport down seems to be an ongoing battles for most people. The mind is the most important muscle to work out IMO.

when the rim gets hit you will know. Low pressure is ok to start with, but watch out when you start to move to bigger drops, and moves. I thought I was perfect at 17 until I smashed the rim on a drop to a curb. Also real low pressure can increase the chance of tearing a tire.

How Many Trials Riders Smoke Weed ?
ti-mig-guy replied to joey vajda's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
"doing weed" Didn't know you could "DO IT" WTF really if you refer to it like that, you probably have never tried it. My mom said I should try everything once, but she's dumb ass hell... -
Did you drill that front rim yourself? Looks nice, but the shiny fork doesn't mesh with the flat frame IMO. Primer for the win, but I appreciate a bodged together bike over a new bike any day...

Do You Ever Need A Seat, Or Do They Just Get In The Way?
ti-mig-guy replied to sdm's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Tire at about 18-20 lbs, make a great seat on a mod IMO. My mod came with a seat, hit my calves on it all the time, so away it went. If you sit on most mod seats, and try to peddle, you will kick yourself in the ass...too low to use.
