is this sp5 cable an inner or an outer im getting a little confused

i have emailed tartybikes to enquire if they can get hold of one.... none of my local bike shops showed much promise

any shimano dealer should be able to get the cable for you, its basicly oversized gear cable (must be stiff otherwise gears would be all over the place)

ok this is what i was thinking

a grind following that video (thanks for the link mate)

some TNN V pads

i currently have a shimano deore v but i am open for recommendations to other calipers

a avid lever as advised by ali c

and an xtr cable

and maybe a booster of some sort

that sound about right chaps i am open to other suggestions

really humbled by the response guys i havnt really checked here for a while and u guys have pointed me in the right direction

I am a bit of an old skool rider and like the idea of running a v brake rather than a maggy because of crashing pipe bursting ride over for the day issues i have previously had... anyway

im looking to overhaul the rear v brake set up on my planet x.

i need some advice.

best value for money levers?

best value for money caliper

booster yes/no if yes which one?

and finally pads.... ive read through the pad reviews as a first port of call but cant make up my mind.... its a toss up between:

tnn v pads

heatsink yellow v pads

heatsink white v pads

i currently run a mavic d521 rim with no grind.

do you recommend a grind if so know any good links to videos or advice threads on here.

your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

i have dug my old dmr sidekick out of the garage

i am going to respray it because mr rust has settled in on it

so the problem i have got is that it was the smoked chrome version

is there an easy way to get this off........... i have tried nitromorse so such luck

any help would be great

[Rear Mech Replacement]

i have for many years been running a rear mech, with a short length of cable to keep it in my chosen gear but recetly smashed it to bits

been looking around at these single speed replacements that you can buy....

whats the best one to get, ie good value for money, and where should i get it from?

i run a road cassette if that helps also?

or is it worth just buying another rear mech and doing the same again?

[Where Can I Get A Planet X Zebdi Rear Mech Hanger From]

i am looking for a rear mech hanger for a planet x zebdi,

preferably a new one and maybe more than one so i dont have this problem again. but if i can just get one that would be fine for now.

not sure if they use a generic shape although my koxx one would not fit in,

unfortunatly cant take a picture of one to assist because my frame didnt come with one (thank you ebay)

there was someone on ebay selling the PDW double walls...I have a cube stem on my old bike they're great but meant to be run with an oversized bar (I use with an azonic double wall and made a shim from a bit of chopped off seatpost!)

hi guys

i recently aquired a megamo from ebay, its not my only trials bike but i have always wanted a megamo so bought it at like 50 quid....

anyway i have destroyed the rear hub... i think its the freehub thats gone

so i wanted to put my hope complete wheel from my other bike on as a quick fix untill i maybe got the wheel fixed

BUT IT WONT FIT!!!!!!!

i was wondering wether i have to purchase a specific megamo hub for the frame or a hub by another brand which will fit with suitable preformance for trials....

if it helps the megamo is quite old ill try and put a pic up but im in new zealand at the moment and my bike is at home.... just had a spare minute in a net cafe and thought id try my luck

i am running a panaracer fire xc pro on the front and that is very lightweight

seems a decent tread to use, but i cant see it being very resistant to pinch flats
