  1. For anyone interested that seems to have done the job. I took the pistons out then filled each bore with fluid then rebuilt and rebled the brake. Made for a much nicer brake feel and holds better, need to wait for the pads to bed in then it will be super dooper!!!
  2. I usually run about 17psi in front and rear, varies by what sort of mood i am in To avoid punctures I from past experience believe it is so much down to what tube you run. I had a standard tube back in the day when I had an onza abd it popped all the time, but fitted a cheng shin more heavy duty type tube and in about a year or so have not had a single puncture!!! also it somehow made it feel bouncier. It may hurt your wallet now but in the long run it pays off to buy quality first!!!
  3. Yeh they are great, I would take them back in a heartbeat now i've moved back to mod.
  4. Very nice, I have been awaiting these pics

    Magura Help.

At a guess I would have thought it is another seal. But more of a mud seal. Doubt you would have seen it before if you don't fiddle with your brake a lot or just bleed it as it sits deep inside the lever.
  6. I mean the one nearest the wheel
  7. These videos are always great, made me chuckle quite a few times
  8. It seems dam expensive to me but then again it does come with some good features like the dropouts, a nice geo, looks like good quality etc but for me it does not justify the price. Not sure if I am correct with this but I think that most of the time if there is an expensive frame like this one then getting a full build if it is possibly is sometimes a better option in terms of value for money. Like koxx bikes etc. Am I right?
  9. Thanks for the help but I usually bleed from the top to bottom, similar to the quide on the hope website and i don't have a syringe ets to bleed opposite way. Also how do I go about filling up the opposite side to the bore cap if I have to put the piston in first?
  10. It is very hard to descibe how it feels. It is not what I would call very spongey but when you pull it you start to feel it bite and then it takes quite a bit of travel before it holds and generally doesn't feel perticularly nice. While pulling it I can see that the pads do not react quickly making me belive that your suggestion about air in the caliper is true. How do I go about filling it up with fluid? As for the pads and disc they are a week or so old. I am using shell dot 5.1 oil if that helps?
  11. I didn't fill the caliper when i took it apart so could be that. I doubt it would be damaged seals as i took a lot of care when fitting them. Was a bit of oil on the back of the pads but i think that is from the fluid i used to lube the seals at the calipers with and seems to have stopped. Hasn't lost any power either. If it helps it does not feel much like my front one which is quite bitey and this one is not.
  12. The problem persists. Did what sam said to do with the pads but then it went really rather bad but needs bedding in again. Just re bled it and made no difference at all. I get the feeling that it is something wrong inside. The pads do not seem to react as quick as the front brake does and to make the brake hold well the lever has to be pulled in very hard. Starting to think it may be something I did when I changed the seals, should i have lubed them up with anything? I only used some dot brake fluid for this? Please find me some answers!!!

    An Old Edit.

Very very nice, loved it when you threw the bike away
  15. Now you are validated thanks to some kind person you can go get yourself one in the for sale section. The hope pro 2 is what you should get, I was very impressed with mine, unless you can afford a king.
  16. Wheels Frame Tyres Tubes Rim tape Forks dependent on your front brake set up Possibly gearing. If you go for an inspired and some others, they are most suited to a high/short bar and stem set up.
  17. Seems likea good build apart from the forks The trialtechs real are worth it and seen as you are buying a full build you may as well go for it. Also would be interesting to hear your reasoning for different disc brakes?

    Geo ?

Yep it is an 07, I had the short and it was a nice wee frame. Geo for it is somethng like... 1005-1015mm Short? 1030-1040 long? +55 bb 360 cs 72 head angle? And weighed just over 2kg for the frame
  19. http://www.trials-uk.co.uk/product.aspx?productid=2310 Some info on there but DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!! I currently have a rear one but I aint really a fan. You get what you pay for really. The weight is stupidly high too which is why i am changing mine.
  20. Maybe it would be a good idea to make a sticky thread for the video guides, it would help stop a lot of silly questions.
  21. No they went with the bike, got the phat pads in heatsink backings but ben has his eyes set on them.
