Need some help with my hope brake and a quick answer please. Ali C came round to fix something on my frame and I asked him about the problems with my brake. Just recently tonight the lever felt really hard to pull and even when I did get it pulled in it didn't really move the pads. He said having been a brake which has only been on a few days it could have been bled with the wrong fluid before I bought it and after a few days causing the seals to expand and make it feel really bad like it it. Now I don't really have much choice but to buy myself some seals and fit and flush out the system myself as I really want to ride somewhere this weekend. Could someone give me a guide or point me in the right direction as to how i go about doing it? Cheers Duncan

Looks great Yours does look really long though for some reason They are so f'in nice to ride

I use a number 3 caliper on mine. Mine also went on really easy with no spacers I believe you have the try-all brakes? That is why you have to run the caliper. I think you are better off with the rotors around the 160 size

Mine measures out at, 1025, +85, 355, and 61cm reach. I am not the biggest person in th world and it seems to suit me down to the ground after only having rode it 1 wet day Thanks for all the comments, keep them comming

For the wet you want a set up that uses a deep type harsh grind ideally. I ran the LGM pads in phatpad backings on my stock, with a dying light grind they were great in the wet and would have been so much better if I gave it a fresh grind. Rock blue pads are very similar in my experience. I would say the the TNNs win on performance (but are very similar) but rockpads win on ware rate. However I never tryed the rockpads in CNC backings so could be worth a shot Try-all croco pads are good too. I ran the yellows for a while and they performed really well wet and dry with oodles of hold and bite however they wore out quicker. But for me their performance easliy made up for it. There is a few options for you I hope.

It is still there, just you can't see it very well. Front rim is a modified try-all rim I cut the square holes with a dremel. Trialtech looks similar and neater. Thanks for all the comments so far

Finished this late on tonight with big thanks to tartybikes and kenny for getting it to me. I ordered it at half four and it was at my house at 8 I'll let the pics do the talkin... Just got a problem with running a bashplate, but i might change my mind and run a bashring. Need to change the back wheel too as it is a lead weight :L I never thought you could have so much fun on a curb for nearly 2 hours in the middle of the night. I f'in love it!!!

Yeh Kenny was a great help. Just finished building the bike though Just about to put pics up in bike thread. I tapped it out a teeney bit as much as i could but not very well and I think i will have to leave it at that. Might order a bashring in stead on monday from you. Don't have any funds though

Got my new frame today and have been so pleased with it. Got one slight niggle though. I came to fitting the bashplate and the single bolt at the front on the frame there are no threads. As if they forgot or something. I tried to tap it out and make a thread but hole is not long enough to let me get the tap down to create enough threads. I thought I could drill the frame and then I could tap it but I don't think this would be a great idea being a new frame and all. Any ideas? (Rockman aurem by the way)

I think they look awesome, they have realley gone far with their design but I think it is going to show on the price tag Shame they don't go on sale to the end of next year Sherco is better anyway.

Looks like a great build. That a short frame? Could be my old frame

What is the bike that ali is on, doesn't look like his stinger? I love this tartybolg, it was a great idea and I check it regularly

Mine is a zhi rim. I still don't quite get what you mean. So I should try to cut out a section around the wheel about the width of the holes? and not like a front rim where it pretty much goes all the way across to the sidewall? It seems to have a bit of a join in the holes from what I can see between the two walls, is this what you mean?
-
I was awaiting your reply since I saw you were online. So i am under the impression to basically cut along either side of the wall on the edge of the rim and then next to the holes too? then any bits left just grind off? Any pics by chance?
-
I think i will try to take out the inner wall, anybody got some tips?
-
Right, I have been stripping the paint from my rim using nitromours but seen as it is double walled I am finding it very difficult to get it out of all of the nooks and crannys between the two walls of the rim. Does anyone have any tips to make it less tedious and easier? Or can somebody offer me advice on how to go about single walling my rear seen as it is one of the heaviest out there (zhi) and is going on a lightweight bike? Any help is much appreciated.

Would still love to hear more comments thanks.

Wow that is gorgeous, oh there is a bike there too. Nah katy is going a long way these days appearing in all these things and a dam good rider. Can't wait to replace my true to the name "shedco" with one of these. I put my name down for one way back in july so should be the first one i hope Agree with how it looks rear heavy though, but can only mean extra grip i suppose I will post some pics up of mine when I get it if you like, mine will look better too with a black shock and some custom bits

That was amazing, very enjoyable. Them roll ups looked so weird though, in a cool way though.
