  2. hey guy's, received my new meta vtt 26" from meta bikes this week! Looks awesome and rides so nice, already feeling very comfy on it. Just like to say a big thank you to Jon & Dimitri at meta bikes, Dan at trials-uk and Steve at heatsink bikes for the awesome red cnc pads! Check out www.heatsinkbikes.com for pads, www.metabike.com for the bikes and parts, www.trials-uk.co.uk for the uk dealer, www.hughbarker.co.uk for me! cheers-Hugh
  3. the cranks do look simular, the info i know on the meta cranks is: -They have a polished finish. -They have a steel replaceable pedal insert -They have a brass sleve which the freewheel screws onto (incase you strip the threads...just change the sleeve) -They come with anice cnc bash Mine seem really well made and look pretty nice too. Most of the parts that come on bikes now is out of a catalogue maybe with a few changes. Take your pic dude, the meta cranks do have some important differences that could save you buying a new set one day, also the polished finish wont show the scratches so much.
  4. yep i certainly did. top stuff anyway!

  9. Hey guy's, before i go and shell out for an x-box live subscription...i've got instructions to connect a 360 up to my mac laptop which will run off the wireless connection. I'm pretty sure it'll work but just to check...has anyone done this? I want to do it like this as i have a modem with only one ethernet socket which runs to the apple wireless box. cheers-Hugh

  11. i use an air driven impact wrench on mine with an ice tools bb tool on the end (socket style fitting). Put your crank in the vice and put the tool in ontop, keep the impact wrench going until it comes loose. Works a treat.

  18. midlands is really YMSA (uci) www.ymsa-biketrials.co.uk, then yorkshire is tyketrial (biu) www.biketrialuk.co.uk not sure of any others. thanks-Hugh
  19. You can enter one class for a day at what ever club, for example say you came and rode ymsa trials, you could enter red (expert) for the day, classes are as follows: white: novice blue:inter red:expert yellow:elite black (ymsa):pro elite EDIT: some clubs aren't listed on the biketrial uk website etc. YMSA is the only club running under UCI style rules, something you may find fun if you enjoy this style of riding like you said. For this you need a membership/license which is combined and you just have to fill out one form and pay your membership/license money which i think is £10 or £11 then your entry fee per trial which is £10. It's a really easy thing to get used to once you've done it once.
  20. didn't you ask the same thing not so long ago in your own thread?
