Oooooo, I know, let's turn this obviously quite serious topic into a competition about who joined when! What with the fact we can see your bloody joining dates when you post I joined a long long time ago, but this is a new account because I was a silly billy. I want my old account back but there's no way in hell I'll figure out the password. And who said that anything here was getting repetitive?!

TF isn't dead, it's just completely different to how it was 4/5 years ago. I think one of the big parts of it are the sheer number of people on here who don't ride anymore (me included) - we're kind of here because we remember how it was, enjoyed the sort of banter that was here and generally like the people and feel of the place. We - and I fully admit to suffering from this myself - don't seem to be able to handle it when someone new comes along and doesn't get the way it 'works'. We shouldn't expect them to, but maybe they should try harder too. You don't go into the army and then tell them you want everything changed - breakfast in bed and no playing with those dangerous weapon things please. I'm at work and have spent like 20 minutes writing this and only got this far, and have completely forgotten my glorious flourished end of post that would end the topic. So please, continue.

Right, I've got everything now for my mum, dad, sis, grandad, mums partner... everything but the girlfriend... She's stupidly difficult to buy for when I have a big budget, let alone when that budget is £20 and I hear she might be getting me an xbox 360. Not a good situation. I have no idea what to get her, clothes are always wrong, she's a knock off nigel when it comes to films, doesn't really have any hobbies except her degree in medicine which I know nothing about! Anyone got any random ideas? You never know, someone might come up with something quality.

Just a tip from the past for anyone wanting to do it the other way... If you have something to hide just tell them confidently they can look. Look them in the eye and tell them to have a look, they wont. Works every time*. *I cannot be held responsible for this not working in anyone else's particular situation

I know it's ironic and hypocritical for me to say this but there's no need to lay into him for no reason. Post a PICTURE of your MISSUS. Mine looking impressed at the outfit I bought her... I personally think that in every relationship there has to be some private space, and in mine that is my phone. Not because there's anything I don't want seen - it's just a matter of principle. I want a private space, I've chosen it's my phone, if she doesn't like it she can f**k off for not trusting me. I can see where you're coming from Mike, so I think it's all just swings and roundabouts depending on the relationship people have at the time.

It was suggested, and it was done... So post your fave childhood memory, adventure or general childish funny stuff here! I'll go with mine: Me and my best buddy Dan spent pretty much all our time together from the age of 5 till he moved down to Devon when we were in year 9. Even then we saw a lot of each other, but sadly he took his own life last year. Even so, memories of my childhood always include him somewhere along the line. The first fond memory that comes to mind was one of much bravery and daring! Dan had a house near mine, and down the side of his house ran a 35 degree angled slope down to his garage - and that's no exaggeration, it was mentally steep! We used to open the garage doors at the bottom, stack all kinds of shit in the doorway like scrap wood and stuff and then hurtle down the drive, both sitting on the same skateboard to get the most speed we could till CRASH! We'd totally just done the best stunt ever in our minds. Oh to be young again...
