  1. My mate Jan rode around like this for ages and the crank arms were even different lengths. Matt
  2. I think the colours are a bit much, but nothing a spray can can't sort out. The 24" looks really nice but then I like 24" bikes. the 24" looks nicer to everyone than the 26 which has the green parts distracting the eye from the overall design. I remember those old loud BMX days and they sucked then, but if you look at the colours that BMX's are coming out in this year the Ashton bikes are not loud at all, and the kids are loving the bright dayglo coloured BMX's. I think they will appeal to the younger masses, which is a very good thing. Look at the picture of the soon to be coming Koxx Purple sky, now thats a clowns bike if ever I have seen one. Blah,blah,blah,blah.............................
  3. Tyres are a good way to shed weight on a 24" or 26" but I am afraid I'm not much help with 20" Try buying some stuff made from unobtanium or have a really good dump. Matt
  4. What bars and stem would you suggest I have been thinking of doing this for a while as it does seem a bit cramped. Matt
  5. The funniest thing I ever saw in my life was when I saw my mate Gwill out on his bike. He was on top of a sea wall about 4ft high and this woman started shouting at him. "Get off that wall this instant, whats the matter with you? you shouldn't be up there on a bike." Really telling him off like you would to a 5 year old. My mate Gwill is 21 and he was so spun out by this woman talking to him like a todler he actually got off the wall and looked all sheepish, I was cracked up by that. There is an unofficial one in Carmathen. Matt
  6. Good stuff I wish it had only taken me a day to learn pedal kicks. Best advice I can give is put a helmet on and keep it on on cos one day you ARE going to flip it. Find a road that doesn't have cars driving past in the dark. Just build up slowly, find some pallets and ride everyday after school and when your mates start hanging around on street wasting their lives find some new friends. My older son has the exact same bike only with a shorter stem and as long as you dial the brakes in/get someone to dial the brakes in, they work shit hot. Ignore this guy, he is entitled to his opinion but so what, he wasted his time not from watching your video but from typing his post. Matt
  7. Ha Ha! See it happened again, people can't help but slag it off. The main reason that I cn't do that is because if I did I wouldn't have a wheel on my other bike. Thats a moot point anyway cos I just sold that bike to pay for my meth habit. The spyro is a fab bike for the money, and you can pick them up on e-bay for about £240 which, if its a second bike so you can have a go at trials, isn't forking out a fortune. I have to admit so far I have changed the vee brakes to shimano ones and the levers to avid adjustable thingys and also the pedals cos they weigh a ton, but these were all just spares I had lying around in my workshop. I think the SPYROGYRA is an excellent starter bike, you think of how crap a downhill or XC or even a street/park bike would be for the same money, I would recommend it to any new starter even if they had the money to buy an all out superstuntyspigmoblie with bells and diamonds and Efin gold plated bars and stem. By making a fully usable bike aimed at the entry level/casual trials rider and keeping the price this low Onza have done more for trials in one action than any of the "specialist/fasionable/expensive" companies have done, which I personally believe is one of the main reasons why trials is one of, if not the fastest growing area of bicycle sports at this moment in time. Fk me, we used to do "trials" on shit old BMXs and crappy heavy mountain bikes as long as you had good brakes and some balls it was all ok. Nice one Joe, the more companies invest time and effort into actually growing the scene rather than catering only for the existing trials riders the better. Just one thing though, when are ONZA going to bring out a 16" wheel bike to get em started younger because my son is still riding the modified haro 16 incher and nearly £500 for a koxx microbox is just too much to pay. Matt
  8. Sombrios, they are really nice comfy and thin good price good gloves. Matt
  9. Incoming! hit the deck, wizbowski has been hit sarge! Sarge? Oh my god.......sarge has been hit. Arrgh mummy
  10. Thank you also Mr Malcom. Money is not a problem really, I guess you may be thinking that as I have a Spyrogyra (Cheap bike) actually alot of people slag my spyro off but I really like it and I have had loads of expensive and flashy bikes and now I wish I had just bought this bike to upgrade as I went along. I also have a zoot, a T-pro, and a full on xspensive bike with disc brakes, hope hubs, middleburn cranks and all that malarky and at the minute anyway, the spyro is my favorite, I just don't like the take up on the freewheel having been used to a loverly hope hub. I think those guys are taking their gayness too seriously.
  11. Thanks for answering. Does everyone else in this forum talk in code or something? What the hell does this mean? "Bye get used to NMC smile.gif"
  12. Thats all very well but it doesn't really answer the question.
  13. Are all freewheels as crap as the one on my spyro? Or can I get a better one? With a faster take up. and big tits.
  14. You're all gay Maricon Two guys two girls=not gay there are girls there so it can't be gay unless it's just two girls then it would be gay, unless I was watching through a window whilst dry speed bumming a sheep and then it would be acceptably not gay. Until they called the police. f**kers. The police were gay and when they bummed me, that made me gay, against my wishes I might add. You're all gay. Gays Does being gay make it easier to touch up a 5ft wall? If it does I'm gonna be gay. This guy is gay And he is sad because he doesn't get to play with tits. Gay
  15. Hi my names Matt and I have just got back into trials after many years without riding. Well thats technically incorrect I have been riding BMX, crosscountry and a bit of freeride. Anyway I got bored of the above and decided to swap my chopper motorcycle rolling chassis for an old pashley that I had sold to a mate years back. I hopped around on that for a while and then got hold of an old Planet X Jack flash that I had swapped to another mate and got on with that better. My Kids and Missus got into it then so we went to see Martyn Ashton on the relentless tour in Abberystwith and it was great. My youngest boy is dead hooked and rides his little 16" trials bike that we made from a Haro Z16 he had everyday for hours after school and he is getting good. Blah, blah, blah............. Anyway hello all. Matt
