Nah they don't, Thats neil tunnicliffe, One of the best riders around so hes always breaking parts. Its just as common for 19" rims to break. Edit: Also those are 2006 echo rims hes breaking, 2006 wasn't a good year for echo rims.

If your using mod the kenda Dh 19" is MASSIVE, its 4.25" wide i think? But all it is is alot thicker and wider and is supposed to reduce how many pinch flats, When i ran one in an echo tyre it was almost immpossible to puncture as echo have such thick sidewalls and the tube was so thick it never pinched.
