  1. The mod and 24" frmaes look really awesome! The geos are all good too. I like the idea of a spanish BB. Why am i not seing their "integrated chain tensioning system"? Looks just like normal dropouts to me
  2. Ah, i see. How does it feel on the rear? Im trying to find some more rear tire options
  3. Looks sweet! Is that a moto digger 2.1" on the rear? What do you think of that stem geometry?
  4. +1. How are those brakes treating you?
  5. After reading this thread I went out and put my 2.4" holy roller on the rear. I was previously using a kenda nevegal which is supposed to be a very good tire, the only problem is its suuuper heavy at 1200 grams. After riding with the holy roller for about an hour i can say that as long as you run at least 18 psi there should be no problems whatsoever. Its very light, cool looking, grippy, and very bouncy. You just have to play with the pressure quite a bit to get it between squirmy and properly bouncy. IMO this solves the tire problem as holy rollers are readily available. Shows all i know.
  6. I agree with you 100% Matt. I couldnt of said it any better my self. Im really happy to see that Damon Watson is doing 24" and that ozonys is making a frame. I also cant wait for the onza limey 24" To come out (although im overly satisfied with my because TGS frame). I think and hope that 24" is the way of the future, because it really is the ultimatum of wheel sizes. Anyone that thinks 24" bikes are only if you want to ride like macaskill needs to get a life.
  7. Amen, you look good on stock mate.
  8. Thank you, your exactly right. Just cuz it has 24" wheels doesnt mean that hes gonna ride like danny mac. And yes, i like the geo of the frame, and im really glad another brand is making TGS 24"'s but this one is pretty ugly IMO. But im sure it rides wonderful.
  9. Im riding a because TGS trials frame with geo of: 1040mm WB +70BB and 73.5 HA. Im using a 175x30 mod stem right now and i love it, but it constricts sidehops a little. Ive used a 130x25 and it just seemed to short (as you can tell i like high front ends) I just ordered a 150x30 so ill see what thats like, but just wanted your input. Thanks
  10. Its great! Do it. The only problems i have with it are there is very little tire clearance (about 2mm either side with my kenda nevegal 2.5), and there is a problem with the chainline rubbing on the seatstay, but that can be fixed with a tarty chainstay protecter Apart from that the geo is great, its fairly stiff, and its quite light. Oh, and the price is very good.
  11. OOOps dont know how that happened, if one of the mods could move it that would be great Ok, ill give it a shot.
  12. What do you think of this? Im running 18/15 gear ratio, with just square taper 172mm cranks. I have a really good ISIS setup laying around, but the cranks are 160. Thanks in advance
  13. http://tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10317&category_id=20 How do you put the spokes through the non disc side without bending them? Im not talking about just this hub, most hubs are like this.
  14. This i know. but i have rode alot of stocks and every one (even some high end 18-19 pound ones) just felt like there was lead in the tires. The 24 fells VERY right for me though. im so comfortable on it.
  15. Im a different one. Im 5'9. So a stock is just plain to big for me to handle. But i still want to have the tapability of a stock, and of course all the other benefits of big wheels. So i got a 24.
  16. Excellent idea. especially the fork. The frame would probly end up being to much of a gimmick to last long, but its good that people are thinking of new things. A bolt on rotor guard is a great idea!
  17. This. But also as Mark said, if your on 2 wheels alot a big stem is a major plus.
  18. Holy crap! Thats crazy mate, Ive never seen one of them crack before......
  19. Hopes are the best, but they are also quite expensive and they definetelly arent perfect. The best overall brake i have found for the rear is an avid juicy, 3, 3.5, 5 ,7, etc. They all have very similar power to hopes, they are just lacking slightly in the feel department. And they are around 1/2 to 1.3rd of the price. Im very picky about my brakes and avids are the bomb!!
  20. Thats right! No bash protection, wtf? It looks pretty good, not my ultimate bike but its good.
