  1. Hey people. I would like to know what pedals you all use and why. I use DMR V8 with terror pins. i love the built and grip factor
  2. I have been trials riding for about 3 weeks now. Keep practicing man. I could do almost nothing when i started. But as i have been a xc rider and racer for years i have an ok understanding of balance. I oractice for about an hour a day. I am currently up to 6 rear wheel hops. i can bunny hop about 6 inches from standing. It just takes loads of practice. There are some great videos on you tube. Check out Tartybikes.co.uk and also some of Danny macaskill's videos on you tube. he is amazing.
  3. I don't understand how people can't see the difference between a BMX and a TRIALS bike!
  4. I think both are important. But as your technique improves then you will need less power to perform tricks.
  5. Rear wheel hops, I think are one of the most important bits if trials riding. Obviously after you learn to balance that is.
  6. nice bikes. always great to see pics of others showing their stuff
  7. i love those trials course designs. let me know if the council give it the go ahead. Does anybody know of any courses in south yorkshire???
  8. i always wear a helmet. even if i am just going down the road after a gear set up. i wear a piss pot style for trials and a traditional mtb one for xc. Vetta and Giro make some decent ones. your best bet is to go to your local GOOD bike shop and have a look. DON'T buy one from Halfords or Argos or anywhere like that, they don't really know what they are selling. but always wear one, you are asking for trouble if you don't.
  9. I guess you will never know until you try. I am sure the pro's have all hurt themselves trying new tricks. Thats what happens if you push the boundries, you just may get hurt but you may just nail that trick and not get hurt. Try it mate
  10. Nice one man. great stuff for just 10 months. keep up the good work.
  11. I would take a break and have another go mate. I bet you will be able to do it then.
  12. Yesterday I finished building my Baracuda. upon trying some tricks out I found that i am rubbish. with a little practice I managed( by the end of the day) to do 4 back wheel hops and a side hop onto an 8 inch platform. i suppose not bad for someone who couldn't hop higher than an inch in the morning. Tell me, how long did it take you to perfect your technique and have you any tips for me please?
  13. nice bike mate. although i would change the pedals there are a little red.
  14. If you are used to riding an mtb with 26"'s on then i would go for 26". 20" are lighter and therefore easier to chuck around
  15. Hey i'm Simon. I am new to trials. i am just in the process of building a bike. i have been riding and racing mtb's for about 15 years. I live in Sheffield and would love any help from anyone.
