  1. We should get Freecaster to show them live on the net.
  2. I have noticed recently that a lot of people seem to be riding mod. I have a stock but wondering whether it is worth me changing to a mod. What do you think? Are mods easier to ride than stocks? What frame do you think I should get.
  3. Great pictures. Looks like a great day. When is the next ride?
  4. I think almost everyone does this. If you just stop you will tend to pull the rear brake side of the bars slightly harder and may set yourself off balance. If you feel comfortable doing it then carry on. As long as it doesn't hinder your riding then there is no problem.
  5. Keep trying. But first take a break from it for a couple of days and let yourself relax. I am right footed but prefer to use my left foot forwards. There is no rule to which foot should be forward.
  6. That looks like more of a jump bike to me. But if it's cheap and it's your first trials bike then why the hell not go for it?
  7. ha ha ha love it. You are going to need to make sure that your wheel is round and true. Also are you going to dish it to one side or the other? I would take it to a shop and ask them to build it. It will cost you about £15-30.
  8. You have a really nice relaxed looking style. You make it look effortless. Love it.
  9. If you got rich parents you could get them to buy a new one for everytime you ride. failing that you could maybe just look after it.
  10. It's a given. Trials all the way. You can't ride an Iphone. Unless of course you are a perv!!!
  11. Quality vid. Just loved it. Danny Mac is amazing What are you on about. The filming was very good.
  12. Some days you need to go back to bed and restart it all.
  13. Ot Pi Isern! Man I remember watching him do trials on the edge of a cliff in the eraly 90's. He is quite amazing
  14. Have you tried googling it? link to bash guard
  15. An Alex rim dx32. Probably one of the strongest rims around.
  16. COMPETITIONS. First thing you need to do is get a licence. The BIU (BikeTrial International Union) are the governing body.
  17. Have you got a push bike trials licence? You wont be able to race without one.

    my starter bike.

Few pics of my first trials bike.
  19. Whatever you do if it is your first trials bike don't spend over £300 on it. You will be gutted if you spent a grand and then broke it, and you will brake it at some point.
  20. It is easier to control your back wheel with your rear foot. so if your right foot is back then it will be easier to move the rear wheel to the left. If you watch videos of people doing bunny hops they tend to twist the back end a bit with the rear foot.
  21. You could start by learning to balance with your front wheel on something like a milk crate or beer crate. Once you have the balance sorted try pulling your front wheel up so you are on the back wheel. See if you can find the balance point (Remember to keep your pedals parrallel to the ground), Once you have found that then try hopping the back wheel up and down. It becomes more like a rocking motion with your ankles and the balls of your feet. When you feel you are losing your balance try and drop the front wheel back onto the crate and then regain your balance and try again. You can strengthen your calves and ankles for this by standing on a step facing up the steps, with the balls of your feet on the edge of the step start to drop and raise. Basically a calf raise. Another way to learn the basic hopping motion is to try doing little hops with both wheels flat on the ground. Do it with your brakes fully on. This will get you used to hopping motion. Hope i have helped.
