  1. My dad has a bad back, trunk curls should help.
  2. Cheap isn't always the best. Use tarty, best UK shop for sure.
  3. I've been hitting it using a 500gm lump hammer still nothing, it's gone about 40mm and wedged tight. it's ok, i'll see if the bike shop can get it out. thanks for the offer though. how many spacers were you running with? don't get me wrong, the forks are sweet!
  4. viz forks, but the bugger who had them before my didn't use the proper topcap that come with the forks. you can see looking down the tube the leaves of the starnut but doesn't look right. doesn't help that there's a bolt sheared in there Might just leave it in there and run with the 30mm of spacers, its on a 24" bike anyway
  5. Here you are, can see the sheered bolt and just make out the 'leaves' of the starnut.
  6. believe me, i've been hitting it. Hard. doesn't look like the starnuts you supply with the circular nut area. this one looks like a normal 6 sided nut with the outer pieces bent right up against the steerer tube an the nut piece so close to the sides of the tub they may as well be touching. think i'll take them into the bike shop. Bummer.
  7. Tried knocking it out, just got so far then won't go any further. i'll get someone from my local bike shop to drill it for me.
  8. Thanks, i'll try on yer bike, always been good before Think it needs trimming really?
  9. Went to halfords but they wouldn't do it for me and i don't own a drill. Thanks though
  10. Bought some forks from somebody on these forums. Trouble is the star nut they used is the wrong size for the steerer tube and has jammed in, and to make matters worse they've sheered off the bolt in the starnut. I've tried knocking the starnut through but being too big it's just wedged it. Any idea of getting it out? I asked in halfords if they'd drill it out for me, but they can't do it because of the sheered bolt. any idea? I don't need it out at the moment, but if i want to trim the steerer tube in the future (am running 30mm of spacers currently) i can't just put another starnut in on top as it's not wedged far enough down the tube. Make sense? Any thoughts appreciated. Adam
  11. Just sent him an email canceling my order. That's not to say i won't use his products again, just that i need the pads asap.
  12. They look pretty sweet actually, where can i get some? I'll give heatsink a day or two more first though. Thanks
  13. The only thing is, if he's not replying to emails about purchases is he going to reply to emails about refunds?
  14. Same here, i've emailed him a few times now still no reply. Am now considering canceling the order and going else where. How long would it take to get a refund though!
  15. Thanks, i'll give heatsink a couple more days. If no luck then, refund and TNNs
  16. It's been so long since i ordered my backings and pads through heatsink that i'm considering canceling the order and getting some TNNs instead. Which are better? can you fit any pads into the TNN backings? should i just hold on and wait for my heatsink ones. at the moment my bike is just sitting there waiting for some pads so i can ride. Thanks
  17. Don't get me wrong, i don't mind waiting. Would just be nice to be told they're going to take some time. site says delivery 1-2 days, which is not the case.
  18. I've ordered items from steve in the past and had no issues at all. Unfortunately not this time. Even an email would be something.
  19. H I put in an order with heatsink for some pads and backing on the 2nd Nov and the money went to them then, not received the order and am getting no response from my emails. I've ordered items from them before and they're usually really quick to get things out to you and very good about responding to emails when they come in. Any body heard from them recently? Thanks Adam
  20. Just finished the solo campaign and have to say i'm mighty impressed. Even though they've lifted a couple of levels from other games!
