Older heatsink backings were so thick,that even with only 2mm of pad they would be as thick as new inspired phat pads I think...so I really wouldn´t be afraid to go for this setup

ryno would be ok with some heatsink pads or other with simmilar backings.

It only looks simmilar,but it´s deffo wider than 1g8...there´s plenty of moto chain with this design of links.
