You know the frame itself is pretty heavy. I hit it quite hard and it doesnt dent. For the rest I don't think you would break it THAT fast
-
Oh well I just have nothing else to do and once you start it's pretty motivating to see the paint go off !

Yes I know the green was nice but the aim was to polish it straight when I built it up. I was just too much in a hurry to ride it! Concerning the time it took, it's quite difficult to say really. I first used some special chemical products to make the lot of the work. I add to apply it 5 or 6 times with 20 to 30 minutes of cure between the applications and 10 minutes each time to remove the paint with a towel. Then I brushed the difficult parts (welds, between tubes...) with a brush made out of metal hair but that took like 10 minutes or so. Then I brushed it with sandpaper (first 800 then 1000 and then 1200). That took at least half an hour. Then finally I used car polish with a rest time of an hour and about 10 minutes to remove it. It was a long work but the result is here! Glad you like it.

1000, 1200 and then polish

Not going to make the cranks ever. I have probably saved like 1 gram taking the paint off so it wasn't the point. I just wanted it to be mirror finished! Thanks again!

Thanks Dave. Here is a new photo as I stripped the frame!

See above answer thanks

Well to be honest the thread on them looks really minimalistic so I wouldn't expect them to last a very long time. I would say around 6 months or so... But then again they are amazing tires so it's fine. First of all it's not laced radial but 1x. But I had never had problems with the front wheels I have already used which were radial laced. That was 5 wheels I think.

They are really grippy and much more stable than any other Lite tires I have used before!!!

Did I call myself a weight weenie ? And the use of these valve caps are personnal

Update on weight and on components

I made the switch quite a long time ago now. And I am lucky to have nothing else to put my money into also. Thanks for bringing that up superman

Thanks

I do they are the third best pads in my opinion. (Trialtech Sport 1st, Coust pads 2nd, Try-All yellow pads 3rd) Thanks
-
It makes a difference. Either it is easier to pull the front wheel or it's more comfy on the back wheel, it is only personnal preference, soit do as you like. Well it's more than enough for my taste, plus it's really more rigid than the Echo Lite !

Bible, Isaiah 43:10 Thanks everyone for the nice comments Yes man, I bought it off Tarty a while ago and never got bothered with building it as my Bionic suitted me ok. In the end I got fed up with the Bionic as it was much too short and ended up building this!! I sanded these forks as they were white before. i just like them silver!!

Well I'll have silver frame, silver crank, silver brakes, silver rims and spokes but black hubs, black freewheel, black stem and black handlebars. So what do you think??? -
Hello everyone. I am hesitating between two forks for my next stock build. The frame is silver with a silver headset and I have the choice between the Trialtech forks (in black color) and the Rockman forks (in silver color). I'd like to know which one you'd choose and please tell me why you would choose one over the other. Don't think about the price as it's not what worries me in the choice I have to make. Thanks for your input!

Not sure on the price but surely cheaper than a pure !
